I started doing POPUP POOCH SHOOTS around Cape Town recently. I set up a portable `studio`of sorts, and take Dog bookings to photograph them. I am known to capture their personalities which has made my PUPS (popup pooch shoots) so popular. When I got the call to go to durban &

saw the massive response to my PUPS I just knew that using this as a platform to help Dogs In Need was the way forward. I will now be taking PUPS bookings & donating a percentage of the earnings to Dog Charities all around the Country. Host a day, Invite Dog lovers to get their dogs photos done & A percentage will be given to you(the host) to give to your Dog charity. Sponsor A Dog In Need: You don´t have dogs but you love them & want to help? With this, we set up ´shop´at a rescue organisation with dogs that desperately need homes. Sponsor a dog by paying for his/her shoot with us-This will make the chance of finding a home 70% higher by really capturing the dogs personality and making him model material :) PLUS you will be donating a percentage of your fee to charity to help further. Cost: From R180-R300 per dog

Your donation per dog: From R60-R100 per dog

I also do Lifestyle Dog photography. Half a day shoot costs R2,500

I have been very very very very fortunate to have stayed many times at the Accommodation & Venue in Yzerfontein , all 4 beautiful, healing , soulful homes. And better yet, my dogs no matter how big & sandy are always invited with no hesitation , ever! My friendship with Denise Levy has been a soul connection. An unlikely friendship only because our worlds are so far apart - but how amazing that our souls have known its home, a necessary pairing. I do believe that Denise brings more to the table as she is incredibly generous and kind and my small way of exchanging this beautiful energy between us is by capturing my stays ( when Im not completely burnt out ).. Funny enough, the dogs and I recently stayed at their newest house Accommodation in Yzerfontein - downstairs is built for events, weddings, retreats YOU NAME IT! While upstairs a two bedroom, very spacious peace of heaven. I went to rest, recalibrate, self regulate , process - In desperate need of silence and deep sleep. The funny part is , I was almost immediately restored while enjoying my first 3 hours - My energy, my calm, and my CREATIVITY ! oh how I have missed it. As many of you know, Bailey and I always did road trips together and I just loved photographing him so much - I even created DMG around him and our adventures. Something as bitter sweet as visiting one of our favourite places and not having him there was surprisingly reframed . I found myself feeling closer to him and child-like in witnessing Reefs FIRST road trip through my lens. I could finally pick up my camera for pure love and enjoyment. One struggles to tap into creativity when you are heartbroken and burnt out , so this was a very good sign. The following 3 nights and 4 days later, I had rediscovered the parts of me I had lost and honestly, I owe that to Denise Levy for being so deeply intentional with each home. I can confidently say that her vision for events and retreats serves its purpose the way she intended. No, not for the gorgeous decor or the incredible comfort of every detail in every corner. Not many people may know how deeply guided she is, she is pure light and when you stay at her homes something always heals inside of you.

“On a calm afternoon, when the sky was soft and the sun hung quietly above the hills, Pooh sat alone in the grass and let the world slow down around him. The breeze carried a hush, the kind that wraps itself around your thoughts and helps you listen to the things you usually rush past.

Pooh placed his paws on his tummy, breathed in the warm air, and whispered to no one in particular, ‘It feels good to sit still sometimes… to simply be here and let the day unfold without hurrying it along.’

He watched the clouds drift lazily, changing shapes the way thoughts often do — from hopeful to unsure, from heavy to light, from confusing to clear. And somehow, just by sitting there, everything inside him felt a little quieter, a little softer.

‘Maybe,’ Pooh thought, ‘the heart needs moments like this. Moments without noise or plans or worries. Moments where we look at the world and remember that we belong to it, just as gently as the sun belongs to the sky.’

The trees stood tall, the mountains rose steady and strong, and the sun warmed his back like a quiet friend. And in that simple stillness, Pooh realized something soothing and true:

We were recently sent this incredible gift for Reef , it actually was around his one year birthday . I have said this many times before - that we are the families who do not do collars and if we had to we would hate to blend in😉😎 so as a true , genuine ‘review’ I can quite honestly say that my boy went from a TEN to about 110 in minutes ! The red, the off white, the tan colour with the stitching and of course cutest tag - looks so beautiful against his black coat and was super comfy , he knew he looked good🥃🕺🏿

It’s been a year since I poured my fragile broken heart into an empty space in Melkbosstrand. Silently grieving while painting floors and wiping walls. I always wanted a life where Bailey could sit and watch the ocean and the beautiful sunsets we loved to share together from his front porch…
He left me to soon, I was working so hard for that dream to become our reality. As he passed a small room shaped as a house became available to rent . A rare find . I felt called to take it with no plan in mind. I knew it was meant for me , I knew I had to make it work.

In honour of my soul dog Bailey, my absolute best friend and guardian - a year after his passing, it is now a space for myself to be still, creative . A space that is the epitome of my love for all things dog and all I have built around this one true love.

Over the years I have built many businesses all within the same theme - now Soul Dog is the flagship that holds the ecosystem of Dog Meets Girl , TAME and DMG collection together under one roof .

The ecosystem of dedicated blood , sweat and tears will now blend as one … and as soon as I have the courage to be front end and make it official, well then il be doing my best within this ecosystem to continue creating the thoughtful infrastructure of making pet ownership helpful, supportive, colourful & fun .. just for you.

Bare with me as I take yet another daunting step that may make no sense to some, but fuelled by my ever growing vision & strong convictions that have always been my guide . This time held by Bailey boy who is tethered to my soul and my reason .
The reason I built this community, the reason I created Tame and the reason to have an excuse to curate cool boutique product and apparel with (usually) his face on through DMG subscription boxes for all my loyal friends on here who have supported me through so many life stages🤍

From the outside, it may look like the wonderful chaos of our daily routine is too overwhelming.
But no , the truth is through every minute I’m with you I’m fully yours and you are mine . You are my most intentional distraction.

Your wild, free, adventurous, smart , happy , SO HAPPY , affectionate spirit is the most welcomed distraction . The only distraction that keeps me truly present which is where I need to be.

Thank you for being yet another example of how selfless a dog is. How purposeful their presence is for their lifetime and their human.
