🚨 ATTENTION CAT OWNERS! 🚨
There is currently an outbreak of Feline Panleukopaenia virus in Pretoria. This virus is HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS and often FATAL, especially in kittens. The virus spreads through contact with infected cats and contact with areas and items that have been in contact with infected cats (e.g. food sources, bedding, litter, yards). The virus is hardy, and under ideal conditions can survive in an environment for several months and even up to a year.
Panleukopaenia can be fully prevented through vaccination, so please get your cats vaccinated ASAP! If your cat has not been vaccinated in the last 12 months, they may not be fully protected. Kittens who have not received any vaccinations or are only partially vaccinated are at the highest risk. Be sure to keep kittens indoors and limit their contact with unknown cats until they are fully vaccinated. Unvaccinated or sick cats MUST be isolated to prevent spreading this deadly disease.
Monitor your cats for the following symptoms:
▪️ Fever
▪️ Pain
▪️ Lethargy
▪️ Loss of appetite
▪️ Vomiting
▪️ Diarrhoea
▪️ Neurological symptoms in kittens
If your cat has any of these symptoms, book a vet appointment IMMEDIATELY, especially kittens. This virus is incredibly dangerous, and while there is no cure, it can be successfully treated with supportive care. However, time is of the essence, and prognosis improves with earlier treatment. Without treatment, cats deteriorate quickly and may pass away suddenly.

Meet Savannah Kloeck the new member to our Fernridge Vet Clinic team.

A Little About Me 🐾💗

I’m a passionate Veterinary Physiotherapist and the founder of Animal Dynamix Physiotherapy.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and my love for horses, dogs and cats is what makes working with animals so incredibly rewarding for me. I’m passionate about helping animals feel their best, regain their confidence and mobility, and enjoy doing the things they love.

I believe veterinary physiotherapy is about so much more than simply treating an injury. It’s about looking at the animal as a whole — understanding how they move, identifying areas of pain or dysfunction, supporting recovery and helping them achieve the best quality of life possible.

Whether I’m helping an animal recover after surgery, manage an injury or chronic condition, improve strength and mobility, or simply stay active and comfortable as they get older, I take a patient-centred, individualised approach to every animal I treat.

At Animal Dynamix Physiotherapy, I combine hands-on techniques with modalities and rehabilitation exercises tailored specifically to each patient.

For me, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing an animal make progress — taking those first confident steps after an injury, becoming stronger, moving more comfortably, or simply getting back to enjoying life again.

My philosophy is simple:
Healthier Animals.
Happier Lives. 💗🐾
