These kiddos did us so proud today under Mr S Delmar from Ireland ❤️ Our first shows for the year as the twins have kept us busy... 🤣

Tucker (left) was awarded
-Champion dog 1st
- Best of Breed
- Main group 1

Lilly (MIddle) was awarded
- RCC ( beaten by her daughter for CC)
- Best Veteran of Breed
- Veteran group first

Grace (right) was awarded
- CC bitch ( 1 dog short of a 2 pointer)
- Reserve Best of Breed
- Best Junior of Breed
- Junior group first

What truly made this win extra special is that Lilly is mom to both Tucker (to Shadow) and Grace (to Aragon) - what more could we have asked for as breeders? ❤️

To find the Australian Shepherd’s earliest roots, we go first to the white-washed adobe missions established by the Conquistadors, who arrived in the New World in the 1500s. Needing meat to supply their soldiers and clergy, the Spaniards imported their hardy native Churras sheep, as well as herding dogs to tend them. Some early accounts describe a wolf-like dog, much larger than the modern Australian Shepherd, yellowish or black and tan in color, and more a guardian than a herder.🐾

Ava had a fantastic day at the Australian Shepherd Club of Eastern Gauteng under Herding specialist judge Michelle Hammond and was awarded

🌟 Best in Show 🌟

What a way to end the year! It was an amazing show and a special thanks must go to the entire committee, but especially to Judith Le Roux , Lisa Frederiksen Cronje and Lizette Smook.

That's a wrap for 2024 - an amazing year adding a Supreme Champion title (pending) to our home, our first export to the UK ( whom is doing amazingly) and the last year of being just 3 x two-leggeds 😬

May 2025 bring even more amazing memories.

We don't quite have the words...

The queen of "Reserve Best in Show" (11, I think) had an amazing weekend and decided to no longer be "the bridesmaid"

On Friday under judge Melanie Nicolau she was awarded:
- Best of Breed
- Herding group first
- Reserve Best in Show 🤪 to the handsome Knox

On Sunday under judge Lois Wilson Sibra she was awarded:
- Best of Breed
- Herding Group First

🫒Olivia (MBVIS BJIS CH Villanyda Blues on the Bayou) was only entered in 4 of the shows and walked away with
- 4 x Best Veteran in Breed under judges Børge Espeland , Astrid Lundava, Louis Kruger and Anne Livø Buvik
- 2 x CC ( 1 being a two pointer. Her granddaughter, Chanel, beat her twice 😉)
- 2 x BEST VETERAN IN SHOW 🏆

🖤 Chanel (BPIS MBBPIS Aroha Hills Little Black Dress) (Ava x Hudson) was awarded
- 2 x Bitch CC's
- Best Puppy of Breed, Best Puppy of Group and later..RESERVE BEST PUPPY IN SHOW under Patricia De Coning

🌸 Lilly (MRBIS MBISS GRCH Villanyda Super Bowl of Aroha Hills) was awarded
- 4 x Champion class 1
- Best of Breed and .... HERDING GROUP 1 🏆

A big shout out must go to the committees for putting on amazing shows this weekend. It was extremely well run - PetExpo - The World of Dogs and Cats. The Sponsorship and prizes were so generous - no one walked away empty handed!

So much to celebrate this past weekend, but I just want to do a separate post for this special girl. She is my absolute heart dog and we have a bond that I know I will never find in another dog again.

Thank you so much for thinking so highly of my girl and for treating the both of us with kindness. Thank you Judith Le Roux and Michael Alberts for helping to handle her...you did an amazing job!

And Jane Kiefer - thank you, thank you, thank you 😉 I loved the cheers from your gazebo everytime. You made her look stunning 🩷

Zak won Best Baby Puppy in Herding group on both occasions! Sorry we could not be there , but can't wait to see you guys in action.
