Meet Cupcake.
Some of you might already know her story—but for those who don’t, here’s how it goes...
This little fighter has been through more than most, yet she’s never stopped purring. Not once.
We found her lying beside the road, completely paralyzed in her back legs—skinny, crawling with fleas, and worm infested. But even then, Cupcake radiated love and trust.
Her paralysis, we later discovered, wasn’t from an injury but a virus. That meant she had a chance—and we gave it to her. After intensive rehab and a whole lot of love, she walked again! One leg remains a bit weak, but that hasn’t slowed her down. She’s playful, curious, and endlessly affectionate.
Cupcake is a true warrior. She was adopted once, but unfortunately it didn’t work out due to her special needs. So now, she’s become our beloved mascot.
Recently, she developed a painful luxating patella (a kneecap that keeps popping out), and she needs surgery. The cost is around R8,000, and we’re reaching out for help.
