Attendees will be given an overview of how they can search for replacements to animal use in research, testing, education and training.

The presentation aims to help scientists and animal facility staff find the latest global resources which advance the three Rs (Replacement, Reduction and Refinement) of animal use for scientific purposes.

Adrian Smith is Secretary of the Norwegian 3Rs platform Norecopa. Adrian is a British veterinarian who graduated from Cambridge University in 1979. After a year in mixed practice, he emigrated to Norway where he has lived since. He ran the research animal facilities at the Norwegian School of Veterinary Science until he left in 2011. Since 2007 he has been the Secretary of Norecopa. He is lead author of the PREPARE guidelines for planning animal experiments.
