Sometimes, something as simple as a bag of cat food means so much more than just a meal.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, we have been able to purchase 15 bags — 150 kg of Protein Feed Adult Cat Food this month to help feed the feral cats at the 15 feeding stations we oversee and service every week. 🐱🍽️

For the cats who live on the streets, there is no cupboard waiting for them at home. No guaranteed meal. No one else to rely on.

Our food bowl is often their lifeline. ❤️

Every week, our volunteers make the rounds, checking feeding stations, providing food and water, monitoring the colonies and making sure these forgotten cats are not forgotten by us.

And behind every bag of food is a donor who chose to care.

Your support doesn't just fill bowls.
It gives hungry cats another meal.
It helps us keep going when resources are stretched.
It allows us to continue caring for colonies that depend on us.
And most importantly, it tells these cats that their lives matter. 🐾💚

To every person who donated, shared our appeals, supported our work or simply believed in what we do:

THANK YOU❣️
We couldn't do this without you. 💚

A donation, no matter the size, helps us continue feeding, monitoring and caring for these vulnerable feral cats.

From his foster home: "Here's some stuff about Aslan.

Aslan is always excited when we get home and loves to tell us all about his day. If he wants to be involved in whatever we are doing he will first ask for permission with a chirp. He accepts patting my leg twice or making two kissing noises as signs he can join me. He specifically wants to be involved if I am doing something on my computer and will sprawl out on my desk because he knows he is more interesting. He loves to watch me cook and will plonk himself wherever the best view is. He loves getting kisses, head scratches and bum pats. He finds the dishwasher and washing machine very interesting, but the vacuum is his mortal enemy. When it is bed time he will come and jump onto the bed and coo at me until I give him pets. He will curl into a ball at my feet and will usually sleep there all night."

Contact us today on 069 600 0531 to meet sweet Aslan 😽

🐾 RESCUE UPDATE | 27 AUG 2026 🐾

After several days of patience and persistence, the last cat from the Sunnyside hospital has finally been caught and sterilised! 👏

That brings the total to 4 cats from this site now in our care.

But our work doesn’t end once they are safely trapped. These cats now need food, litter, veterinary care, patience and time while we assess their individual needs, help them settle and work towards finding the right forever homes for those who can be rehomed. 🏡

Please help us care for these cats.

🐾 RESCUE & REUNION - 24 AUG 2026🐾

Again while searching for missing Kuro-Kami, we were alerted to a black cat nearby. We knew immediately it wasn't Kuro-Kami, but the property owner was afraid of cats, so we stepped in to help.

After sharing photos on the community group, a family recognised him. We set a trap, and two days later, Ozzy was safely caught. 🖤🐈‍⬛

We then learnt that a ginger cat had been visiting Ozzy's yard and chasing him away. He arrived every morning, so we set a trap.

On 24 August, we caught him — a handsome ginger boy wearing a collar and tag. 🧡

He wasn't microchipped, but our vet team managed to read the tag number and contact his owners.

We thought he was simply a neighbourhood cat from Muckleneuk.

We were wrong.

Meew had been missing for an entire year! 💔 His family lived in Centurion, about 30 km away.

Welcome home, Meew!*🧡🏡

🐾 Sometimes searching for one cat leads you to another — and sometimes it leads a family back to the cat they've been missing.

Please remember: collars, tags and microchips can make all the difference when a cat goes missing.

🐾 RESCUE UPDATE | 24-25 AUGUST 2026🐾

On 6 August 2026, while searching for missing cat Kuro-Kami, we were alerted to a black cat living at a hospital in Sunnyside.

We went to the premises on 7 August to investigate and found the black cat, who appeared to be tame. We also spotted other cats on the property. None of them were sterilised.

We were told that the black cat had been born at the hospital, and it appeared likely that the other cats had also been born there. We offered our assistance to assess the situation and help where we could.

We were advised that we first needed to speak to the person in charge. We did exactly that — and then we waited...

On 20 August, we received a message informing us that the cats now all needed to leave the premises.
We are now navigating the situation and determining what can realistically be done for these cats.

It's not simply about taking a cat away.
It is about assessing the situation, sterilising, providing appropriate care, finding safe and sustainable solutions, and making responsible decisions for every cat involved.

These three are now safe in our foster care. If you would like to support our efforts in helping them, every donation, sterilisation sponsorship and share makes a difference. ❤️

🐾 TNR & RESCUE UPDATE | 20–21 AUGUST 2026 🐾

Following the request we received on 5 August 2026 for help with a group of feral cats living at a guest house/student accommodation in Brooklyn, we returned on Thursday, 20 August** to try and trap the last remaining feral.

And this beautiful girl was the one we were waiting for. 🥹🐾

We believe she may be the mother of the two kittens who are now safely in foster care. With her finally trapped, we can make sure she receives the veterinary care she needs and that the kittens have the best possible chance at a safe future.

But every rescue comes with a cost, and we simply cannot do this without the kindness and support of our community.** ❤️

If you would like to help, any contribution towards the veterinary account for this girl or the ongoing care of the two kittens would mean so much to us.

Even a small donation adds up — and together, it helps us keep saying YES when cats need us. 🥹🐾

✨ ADOPTION UPDATE ✨

Capri has officially found his forever home! 🏡💚

And we absolutely love hearing that he is settling in so beautifully! His family says:

💬 “We love him!!! He is so chill!!!” 😻

After months of care, love, patience and plenty of growing, Capri has finally begun his next chapter — and what makes this adoption extra special is that he didn’t go home alone. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to the **Bothma family** for opening your hearts and home to Capri, another one of our GFP older kittens. Thank you for not only giving Capri the loving forever home he deserves, but also for welcoming **Rosemaryn as his sibling**. 🥹🐾

By choosing to adopt two rescue kittens, you have changed two lives forever while also creating space for us to help even more cats and kittens in need. That ripple effect is what rescue is all about. ❤️

We would also like to give a very special thank you to our incredible foster families — Zenobia & Carlo, Gemma, Janine and Chantelle. It truly took a wonderful group of people to get this special boy to his happily-ever-after.

From rescue and fostering to medical care, socialisation, love and finally adoption, so many caring hands played a part in Capri’s journey. 🐾

Happy tails, sweet Capri! 🧡
From uncertain beginnings to a lifetime of love, your forever has finally begun. 🏡✨

HAPPY ADOPTION DAY, ALICE!✨

A huge heartfelt thank you to the Klopper family for opening their hearts and home to sweet Alice (previously English Breakfast). We are absolutely thrilled that this precious girl has found her forever family! 🥹

We can’t wait to see Alice grow, flourish and settle into her new life surrounded by love. We know she has many happy adventures ahead! ✨

A very special thank you to Julia, Gemma, Laura and family for welcoming Alice into your home as her foster family. Your love, patience and dedication gave this little girl the safe and nurturing space she needed to grow in confidence and prepare for her forever home. ❤️

Foster families are such an invaluable part of every rescue journey. They open not only their homes, but also their hearts, time and lives to help animals take those important steps towards a brighter future. We are incredibly grateful for everything you did for Alice. 🧡

May Alice’s new home be filled with endless laughter, playful adventures, warm cuddles and countless beautiful memories. Thank you for choosing adoption and giving a rescued life the happy ending she deserves. 🏡

Welcome home, Alice!🐾
We couldn’t be happier for you! ✨
