🐾 Help the dogs at Pawprints 🐾

At Vet on Main, we see it every day - Paw Prints Rescue brings in dogs who’ve been hit by cars, have mange, broken bones, and just need a second chance. They never turn a dog away, and we’re proud to be part of giving them medical care.

Right now Paw Prints Rescue owes Vet on Main ±R50 000 for treatment of their rescue dogs. To help, they have put together a Pamper Hamper for Pooches and Their People valued at R2000🎁

Pretty please consider taking a ticket, or two. Every ticket bought goes straight toward reducing the outstanding balance so Paw Prints can keep rescuing without the debt holding them back.

🐾 Neutering & Spaying: A Guide for Pet Owners
Neutering (for males) and spaying (for females) are important decisions that help keep your pet healthy and prevent unwanted litters. The best timing depends on your pet’s species, size, and s*x.

🐱 Cats
We recommend neutering or spaying your cat at:
👉 5-6 months of age
Why?
• Cats can become pregnant from a very young age
• Prevents unwanted litters
• Reduces spraying, roaming, and fighting
• Helps protect against certain diseases

🐶 Dogs
The best time to neuter or spay your dog depends on their size and development.
We recommend spaying 3 months after a season
Why wait?
• Allows hormones to settle
• Reduces risk of surgical complications
• Supports safer recovery
⚠️ Important:
Your dog can still become pregnant during this time, so careful supervision is essential.

(Expected adult weight under ~10–15 kg)
👉 Around 6-7 months of age
