Due to unforeseen circumstances, there will be no veterinarian onsite today from 4:00 pm.
✅ Please rest assured: all inpatients remain carefully monitored by our assistant team, with a veterinarian on call for their needs.

👉 Going forward, our emergency after-hours consultations will be available during the following times:
• Monday – Friday: 5:30 pm – 10:00 pm
• Saturday: 12:00 pm – 10:00 pm
• Sunday & Public Holidays: 8:00 am – 10:00 pm

🐾 Every year on 15 September, SAVC (South African Veterinary Council), shines the spotlight on Animal Health Technicians. This is a group of highly skilled professionals who bridge the gap between veterinary science and practical animal care.

Their work is hands-on and diverse: from administering treatments, vaccinations and primary healthcare, to disease surveillance, biosecurity, and abattoir inspections. They provide essential extension services such as assisting veterinarians, performing routine procedures like dehorning and certain castrations, and ensuring accurate animal identification and traceability. 🐾
