Thank you for everything you bring to the team!
It’s safe to say we wouldn’t be the same without you! From being a brilliant vet to caring for both your exotic and small animal patients, your clients and their pets are incredibly lucky to have you and more importantly we are so grateful to have you as part of our Kloof Village Vet Family.

Blue has officially decided that Sr Natasha’s head is the best seat in the house. 😂🦜💙

This beautiful macaw came in for a visit and apparently decided that she had found her new favourite perch! She made herself so comfortable that, despite our best efforts, the only person who could convince her to move was her owner. 😂

We absolutely love working with our feathered patients and clearly, Blue has decided that our nurses make excellent climbing furniture! 💙🦜

Sometimes being a nurse is less about examining your patient and more about accepting that you have been chosen as a perch. 😂❤️

Saartjie, this adorable Labrador puppy, had a bit of an unfortunate adventure and ended up with a broken leg! 🐾💔

Our team stabilised her, before referring her on for specialist surgery. Of course, she couldn’t leave without a little extra TLC. Dr Anuschka made sure there were plenty of cuddles, while Sr Natasha left Saartjie a very special get-well message on her bandage. ❤️

We’re sending lots of love and wishing this brave little girl a smooth surgery and a speedy recovery! Get well soon, Saartjie! 🐶💕

Some mornings, being a puppy patient is just too much… especially when you have to sit in a cage! 🐶😂

This adorable little visitor quickly made it clear that cages were not on the agenda, so instead spent most of the morning making the rounds and finding a comfortable lap to cuddle up on. ❤️

Dr O, and pretty much everyone else got their fair share of puppy cuddles! 🥰🐾 We think it's safe to say this little one was very happy with the alternative arrangement.

Last night our vets and nurses traded in their scrubs for something a little more… Tacky! 😂🍬

We headed out for a quiz evening hosted by Hills, with the brilliant and hilarious Schalk Bezuidenhout as quizmaster, and what a night it was!

Our team decided to go all out and dress up as Tic Tac boxes, and we have to say, the outfits were pretty spectacular! 🍬😂 So spectacular, that we proudly took home the BEST DRESSED award! 🏆

There was plenty of laughter, a little healthy competition, and lots of fun with our team outside of the clinic.

A huge thank you to Hill’s Pet Nutrition for hosting such a fantastic evening. We had an absolute blast! 💚

Just look at this gorgeous girl doing her physio with the incredible Salomien from Strides Ahead Rehab! 🐱✨

We absolutely love working with Salomien and send all of our physiotherapy cases her way. She is amazing at what she does, and this video is such a wonderful reminder that physiotherapy can make an incredible difference across all species even our famously independent cats! 😻

This little lady underwent extensive reconstructive surgery to the ligaments of her knee with Dr Sarah, specialist surgeon in Hilton. Following such a complex procedure, rehabilitation is a hugely important part of getting her back to doing what cats do best.

This case is a true example of collaboration. Veterinary care, specialist surgery and dedicated rehabilitation all working together towards the same goal. And the results? They speak for themselves! ❤️

A huge thank you to Salomien for the incredible work you do and for helping our patients get back on their feet ... literally! 🐾

In Memory of Steve
The team at Kloof Village Vet would like to extend our deepest condolences to Steve’s family, friends, and the entire Monkey Helpline team

Steve was an amazing man who dedicated so much of his life to helping and protecting the monkeys in our area. He was always ready to collect rescues from us, no matter the time or circumstances, and his compassion and commitment made such a difference to so many animals.

His passing leaves a huge gap in the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.
Steve will be deeply missed. 🖤
Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
Rest in peace, Steve. 🐒

🌍 New Faces at Kloof Village Vet! 🐾

Over the past four weeks, we've had the pleasure of welcoming four veterinary students all the way from France to spend time with us at the clinic!

Their placement was arranged through Monkey Heartland, giving them the opportunity to learn from our exotic veterinary team, observe a wide variety of procedures, and gain hands-on insight into the fascinating world of exotic animal medicine.

It's been wonderful having them with us. They've been enthusiastic, eager to learn, and an absolute pleasure to host. We hope they've enjoyed their South African adventure as much as we've enjoyed sharing our knowledge and getting to know them.

Thank you for choosing to spend part of your veterinary journey with us. We wish you all the very best for your studies and future careers
