🐾 Friday Feels: Full Bellies, Full Hearts 💙

It’s giving: ate, snuggled, conquered nap time. 😴
Ori, Nera, Alpha and Nova are thriving — warm, fed, and absolutely stuffed. These little dumplings are all well over the expected weight for their age, and it shows in every happy, chubby belly. 💪🐱

From bottle feeds to belly flops, this is what rescue looks like when everything goes right. And we’re celebrating every sleepy, satisfied second. 🍼✨

💬 Tell us: Which one of these kittens do you relate to most after a big meal?

💛 Meet Sq**rt – Tiny Fighter, Big Heart 🐾

From fragile beginnings to finger-suckling snugglebug, Sq**rt’s journey has been nothing short of incredible. 💪🐱

Rescued by our friends at Feral Cat Project, little Sq**rt was spotted by Jess, who noticed his eyelids weren’t formed properly. He was diagnosed with eyelid agenesis, just like our very own Quasi — a rare condition where kittens are born without functioning eyelids. 😢

He arrived in foster care with Steph for TEARS just days before Kitten Clinic was officially founded. At only 400g and around 7 weeks old, Sq**rt was severely underweight, battling awful diarrhea, and fighting an uphill battle.
👉 Swipe to see Sq**rt when he first came in from FCP.

Since then, he’s transformed. One of his eyes sadly ruptured and was removed during his neuter surgery — but Sq**rt didn’t miss a beat. Now 5 months old, he’s thriving: playful, affectionate, and a total cuddlebug who loves to suckle on fingers for comfort. 🥹💛

Next step on his journey: specialist eyelid repair surgery at the end of June. Once he’s healed, he’ll be ready to find his forever home through TEARS — and whoever adopts him will be getting one very special boy. 💙

👀 Ori’s Eyes Are Open – At Last! 💙🐾

Big news from the nursery (a few days late, because newborns keep us busy!): Ori has finally opened her eyes! 🍼✨

At 22 days old, this little lady took her sweet time — most kittens open their eyes between 7 and 14 days, so she definitely kept us guessing. 😅 But when she did open them, it was pure magic: two bright, curious little eyes finally taking in the world around her. 🥹💕

Ori has always been a bit of a character — she grumbles during every feed and lets us know exactly how she feels. And now that she can see us while she complains? Even better.

Milestones like this might seem small, but they’re everything in rescue. Ori deserves a soft, safe start — and with your support, she’s getting just that. 💙

🐾 Why we don’t adopt out solo kittens (unless you already have a playful young cat)

We love kittens — and we want them to thrive.

Kittens raised alone can struggle with socialisation and emotional development. That’s why we only adopt them in pairs, or to homes with an existing cat who’s young and playful enough to keep up.

An older or less active cat may not be able to meet a kitten’s needs — which can lead to stress, behavioural issues, or an unhappy home for both cats.

💕 Thinking of adopting? We offer a discounted adoption fee if you adopt two kittens together.

Questions about adopting a pair? Drop them below — we’re happy to chat. 👇

Bottle Babies Update #1

These bottle babies arrived three weeks ago, and all but Ori have now opened their eyes! After graduating from 24/7 incubator care, they now only stay there overnight. By day, they explore a cosy pen specially set up just for them. They’re growing fast and thriving!

📸 Check out these adorable pics of them rocking their cute hats!

🐾 This Week on Our Team’s Cats: Darya
Age: 4 years
Personality: Semi-feral gremlin with a soft spot

Darya came to one of our team members at just 6 months old after being surrendered to a vet with her siblings by a backyard Siamese breeder. Because their mum mated with a local tomcat instead of the intended Siamese male, they weren’t considered “purebred enough” to keep or sell.

They were terrified and completely unsocialised.

Today, Darya:
💅 Lives her best semi-feral queen life
💦 Uses the kitchen counter as her personal loo
👀 Avoids humans all day
💤 Then crawls into bed for secret cuddles she definitely enjoys

She reminds us that with the right environment, even the most misunderstood cats can bloom — on their own terms. 💙

➡ Spay and neuter your pets. Backyard breeding often leads to unnecessary suffering for cats like Darya. Let's help prevent more stories like hers.

🐾 What makes a happy cat?
(Told specifically by Zu 😸)

Zu, one of our expert feline consultants, has compiled his official list of what makes a cat's heart full:

📦 Boxes of all sizes
🍗 Tasty food of all kinds
👨‍👩‍👧 His family
🐾 Chasing Mittens (his bestie and housemate!)
🕊 Watching birds
🧺 Blankets & a cozy fireplace

Everyone deserves to feel this content—especially kittens starting out with tough beginnings. 💙

Step 4 – Adoption Day & Aftercare

Once you’ve chosen your new kitten companion, we’ll finalise the adoption with a simple contract and a small adoption fee that helps cover their care and vet work.

Then it’s time to... box them up and take them home! (Okay, not literally – but we do recommend a comfy carrier 😉📦🐱)

But don’t worry – we won’t vanish once you leave. You’ll get aftercare support, settling-in tips, and you’re always welcome to reach out with questions. We love updates, so do spam us with photos! 📷💙

🐾 Every adoption helps us make space for the next tiny life in need. Thank you for choosing to adopt.

Step 3 – Meet the Babies!

Now for the best part… KITTENS! 😍 Once you’re approved, we’ll introduce you to kittens who might be a good match based on your lifestyle and preferences.

You’ll get to meet them, learn their stories, and see which little fuzzball steals your heart. 💖 Some people come for one and fall in love with another – and that’s totally okay!

📸 Meet-and-greets are by appointment – let us know when you’re ready!

Step 2 – Chat & Home Check

Once we’ve received your application, we’ll be in touch for a quick chat. 🗣️ We love learning more about you and answering any questions you might have.

Next, we’ll arrange a home check – either in person or virtually. This is just to make sure it’s a safe, kitten-friendly space. Think of it as kitten-proofing, not policing! 🏡🐱
