Strong, smart, and full of heart! This handsome Pibble is a sweet and clever boy with gym-bunny energy! His joyful tippy taps will make your day, and he is very ready to find his forever people. Come and meet Buster today!💪🏻

Buster is a loving, powerful dog who responds beautifully to training. He thrives on structure, routine and purpose. He’s energetic (but working on his stamina – his goal for 2026 is to master the art of cardio!) which makes him a fantastic future hiking buddy!⛰️

He’s an excellent match for someone who enjoys regular exercise. He truly believes that health is wealth! He loves toys, especially epic-sized sticks – the bigger the log, the better! On lead, he walks nicely but prefers dogs not to invade his personal space. While he’s okay when out and about, he’s happiest with dogs at a distance and would do best as an only child.

Very strong and excitable, he’d need an experienced, confident owner who is familiar with power breeds. He’d like someone who can guide him calmly and clearly. In return, you’ll get an affectionate companion who adores you. He lights up when he sees people and his happy tap dances will make your day!❤️

Wrapping up an incredible year at TEARS Animal Rescue! 🎉

As we count down the days until the new year, we're reflecting on all the love, joy, tail wags and purrs that filled our lives in 2025.🐾❤️

This year, we celebrated 840+ adoptions, reunited lost pets with their families, and provided a safe haven for countless animals in need🏠.

We're grateful for every single one of our supporters, volunteers, and adopters who made these numbers possible! 🙏

As we look to the new year, we're excited to continue our mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, treating and rehoming to those who need it most. Thank you for being part of the TEARS family!

Lovely Leo & Georgeous George, Two Hearts, One Hope 🧡

Some friendships are written in the stars and that’s exactly how it is for Lovely Leo and Georgeous George. These two beautiful ginger boys are more than best friends, they’re soulmates in fur, each the other’s comfort and courage 🫂.

George has been waiting patiently at the cattery since 2021. We like to call him Georgeous George, not a spelling mistake, but a name that perfectly captures his gentle charm and quiet grace. He’s calm with a steady heart, always watching with those wise, thoughtful eyes 😃.

Then there’s Lovely Leo, who joined him in 2022. Leo is sunshine in feline form soft, sensitive, and full of quiet wonder. With his beautiful green eyes and gentle nature, he adds light wherever he goes. When George rests, Leo tucks himself close, often resting a paw across his friend as if to say, “I’ve got you.” He looks up to George with complete trust and love, and George, in turn, keeps Leo feeling safe and sure 💛.

Together, they’ve shared years of friendship grooming each other, curling up as one, and watching the world go by side by side. They’re a little shy when meeting new people, but beneath that shyness are two of the kindest hearts you could ever hope to meet. With patience, you’ll see their true selves bloom affectionate, loyal, and deeply loving. They’ve waited far too long for someone to see them for who they are: not just two cats, but a bond made of love, trust, and quiet magic 🪄.

Sundae may be itsy-bitsy but she effortlessly keeps up with her longer-legged friends. She came in to TEARS as a surrender from Ocean View. She’s a happy soul who thrives on human connection.Throw a ball and you’ll have a friend for life!🫂

She loves people dearly and will be great with kids (as long as they’re gentle and respectful of her sausage-dog frame). With some training and social exposure, she could become a wonderful coffee-shop companion. Clever and food-motivated, she’s trainable and loves to learn 🏫.

She’d be happy exploring trails and enjoys outdoor adventures. She’s even starting to enjoy swimming with a little encouragement! In a home she would do best with a happy-go-lucky, slightly older dog friend to help model good manners.

Meet Zuko – The Ginger Firecracker Who Stole Our Hearts 💛✨🐾

Zuko’s name carries deep meaning in African tradition glory, honour, and respect and that’s exactly who he is.

🌟 Glorious. The moment he arrived, he lit up the cattery. Within minutes he was batting his ball from one side to the other, showing off his playful, joyful spirit.
🌟 Honour. Honour isn’t just a feeling, it’s a choice and Zuko chooses every day to give value to those around him. His happy, affectionate nature reminds us how special these bonds are.
🌟 Respect. We respect Zuko deeply for the way he sees the world with curiosity, joy, and an open heart.

But here’s the other side of Zuko’s charm he’s a little firecracker! ✨ This boy is full of personality, sometimes a bit too much for his own good. He can be feisty, a bit rough around the edges, and doesn’t always want you to leave his side once you’ve come in to visit him. We think maybe it comes from fear of being left behind, but whatever the reason, he hasn’t quite learnt his boundaries yet.

Zuko will need a special person someone confident, patient, and kind who can gently guide him, set loving limits, and help him relax into the secure, forever home he deserves. First known to us at TEARS as Skinny, this Pibble mix transformed into our Sunny thanks to some healthy weight gain, love and her unstoppable joy. Sunny has boundless energy, a happy heart and a love for cuddles. She’s ready to brighten someone’s day every day. Come and meet her! ☀️

Born in early 2024 and rescued as a stray from Ocean View, Sunny came in severely underweight and unsure. With care and kindness, her playful spirit has bloomed. She’s excitable and has the cutest lopsided gallop!🏃🏻‍♀️

Sunny is absolutely serious about her playtime. She loves bouncy balls as much as she loves to bound around! If you’re a fitness fanatic yourself, boy oh boy will she motivate you! While she still needs confidence building and structure, she’s highly trainable and eager to please 👑.
