Ohana’s story began under the floorboards of a restaurant called Ohana and that’s how she got her name. “Ohana” means family and this brave young mom lived up to it in every possible way. She kept her newborn kittens safe and warm in the only place she could find, never once leaving their side. Even when she was terrified of people, her babies always came first.

Today, her kittens have grown up and are moving on to their forever homes, and now it’s Ohana’s turn to shine.

Ohana has moved into our bigger enclosure and while she is still a shy girl who prefers the comfort of the shadows, she has begun showing her gentle heart. She no longer runs away when approached.
