Canna & Bindii – Two Souls, One Journey 🐾

Once upon a time, two tiny kittens named Canna and Bindii opened their eyes to the world from the very first time, from that moment on they had each other.
These inseparable souls grew up side by side, curled into the same blankets, sharing not only toys but dreams. Together, they raised their kittens with patience and love, showing the kind of gentleness only best friends can teach each other.
When their kittens moved on, a new chapter began for them a home of their own. It seemed their happy ending had arrived. But a few years later, without a reason we’ll ever understand, they were returned. No explanation. No warning. Just the sound of the door closing behind them again.
Now, back at the cattery, they wait quietly. Confused. A little heartbroken. Shy.
You won’t see them out front, vying for attention. They’re too dignified for that. Instead, they watch softly from the shadows, hoping someone might notice the light still in their eyes.
Canna, with her calm tabby coat and Bindii, dressed in her elegant black and white fur, comfort each other with quiet nudges. They haven’t given up on people, not really. They just need someone to believe in them again.
In the safety of a peaceful home, you’ll find their true selves: affectionate, deeply bonded, and so very ready to love again. They’ve shown us already—they can trust, when given time. They can purr, when they feel safe. And they will fill your home with a quiet, soulful love that only those who’ve known loss can give.
Canna and Bindii are only 4 years old, but they carry an old, gentle wisdom. They deserve more than a second chance. They deserve a forever.

Meet Smudge, a Bull-breed mix with a unique muzzle and the sweetest smile. This happy girl always has cuddles to give and positive energy to spare! Even though she was named for her beauty spot, the truth is that she is beautiful on the inside too!

Smudge was found scavenging for food on the streets of Vrygrond, a low-income community in Capricorn. Smudge is a delightful blend of playful and sweet. She balances her independent nature with affection and friendliness. An adventurous and active soul, she thoroughly enjoys getting out and about! Smudge needs an owner who is dog savvy as she can be selective with her doggy friends and has a lot of energy to burn! Playing, running around and being doted on are her favourite things. As well as treats, treats, treats! Smudge has a unique bark, which she usually only uses to let you know she’s ready for dinner or that she’s spied her leash. With some structure, Smudge will easily reach her full potential. She loves a good sniff with that painted nose, and has been trying to smell out her family for a while now! Meet Atlas, a dashing Belgian Malinois-Boerboel mix with intelligent, copper eyes and the longest tongue ever! Curious, brave and resilient, he is an ideal companion who is so excited to finally meet his forever family.

Atlas came in severely emaciated, just days away from death. His body bore the scars of a violent life lived on a short chain. Some dogs carry heavy burdens, but luckily Atlas has always been big and strong. Belly scratches, fetch and tenderness were all new wonders to him. He'd never known the warmth of a cuddle, or the freedom of movement. Atlas is searching for the love and security he deserves. He’s hoping to find someone adventurous, with a confident stride and a big garden to play fetch in. Someone who he can share new experiences with. Someone who can help him embrace each new day. Meet Tiger Lilly – A Blossoming Beauty Looking for Her Forever Home

Tiger Lilly, like the flower she’s named after, is a dignified and gentle lady with a calm heart and just the right dash of sass. Nearly a senior, she’s left the drama of kittenhood behind and embraced her well-mannered, cozy ways.

She spent part of her life as a polite house cat in a flat, always doing her best to be tidy and respectful. Unfortunately, she was recently surrendered because her litter tray was considered too messy. With no garden or outdoor options, she did the best she could—and now she’s hoping for a second chance to bloom somewhere new.

Tiger Lilly is a chilled, affectionate soul with a soft purr and a warm presence. She enjoys the occasional chat (especially around mealtimes), but her true loves are quiet naps, cozy couches, and the comfort of a loving lap. She might even sneak into bed if invited—no judgment on your blanket choices if you don’t mind a little fur in return.

Meet Callie. This cutie had a very hard start. Battling what we now know was Canine Hepatitis, she was skin and bones, on and off a drip – with a terrifying rattle in her chest, and a heavy little heart. Even with one paw in and one paw out of this world, she was still so brave!

We watched her struggle as her organs took strain, watched her burn off weeklong fevers, saw her go blind in both eyes, and were left in awe of how she still unwaveringly latched on to joy, play and love. With a mix of TLC, our amazing vets at TEARS who never gave up on her, and her own sheer will, she has made a miraculous recovery!

Callie really wanted to live this life. She’s fought hard for every cuddle, every scrumptious kibble and every round of fetch that she now plays with delight! With her sight almost completely restored, she can now see just what wonderful things this world has to offer. She is sweet and sassy, loves cuddles and learning new things. She’s already got “sit, paw, lie down, and to your bedjies” under her belt and she’s very proud! She’s got a healthy respect for cats and is always excited about making new doggy friends to make up for the time she spent in isolation.

It’s time that this little girl finds her forever. If you think you can offer her the life and love she deserves, come and meet her! We can guarantee that whatever joy you bring to her, she will triple in return.

🚨 Severe Storm Alert – Please Keep Your Pets Safe!

A significant cold front is heading toward Cape Town, expected to make landfall in the early hours of Saturday, 7 June, and continue through Sunday, 8 June. Heavy rainfall (20–50mm+), strong winds, possible thunderstorms, and flooding are expected across the Cape Metropole, Winelands, and Overberg.

Roads may become dangerous, and driving conditions will be challenging—but let’s not forget our animals in this storm.
