Lyme Disease in Dogs: What You Need to Know!

Ticks aren’t just a summer problem—here in North Carolina, they’re active all year long! ❌ Which means the risk of Lyme disease never goes away.

Lyme disease is caused by a bacteria transmitted through the bite of an infected tick. Symptoms in dogs can include:
🐕 Limping or shifting-leg lameness
🐕 Fever & lethargy
🐕 Swollen joints
🐕 Decreased appetite

Prevention is key! Use year-round tick prevention, check your dog after outdoor activities, and talk to your vet about the Lyme vaccine.
