Fun, silly and dog friendly… What more could you want?

Meet Corra, a three year old Husky/Border Collie mix weighing 45 pounds.

Corra is a happy-go-lucky goofball with a heart full of joy and a tail that never stops wagging-especially since she's usually chasing it! This medium-sized bundle of fun is bursting with personality, energy, and boundless curiosity. Whether she's making you laugh with her silly antics or exploring every nook and cranny, life is never boring with Corra around. Corra has met another dog while with us and did very well, wanting to play a little bit. We think she could do well in a home with another dog or as an only dog.

She's outgoing, friendly, and always up for an adventure. Corra would thrive in an active home that appreciates a little chaos and a lot of love. If you're looking for a playful companion who will keep you smiling, Corra is your girl!

Apply to adopt Corra online or come down and meet her in person!

It's national dog day! Show us your furry friends in the comments while also enjoying this update on Gunner, it is clear he is living his best life!

Hi I just wanted to give an Update on Gunner! He was adopted out in February of 2024 but came back to you guys in October of 2024 and we adopted him in November of 2024. We’ve had him for almost 9 months now and he is adjusting well. He gets along with our other dog and he’s loving his best life. He loves to lay on his back and have his belly rubbed, loves laying on our couch inside and outside, loves to curl up in a ball and go to sleep, and loves to sunbathe on our sidewalk. We couldn’t imagine our family without him. Here are a few pictures of him.

Last week we took in 73 animals and had 84 success stories, what a fantastic week! We love when we have lots of pets finding their forever homes. Iris is one of our adorable new faces hoping to find her forever home this week. She heard it can be harder for black cats but she is sure people will see what an amazing girl she is. Come down in person to see Iris and all of our other new faces or check them out on our website.

Long-term resident Biggie is settling in amazingly to his new home.

I wanted to give you an update on Biggie AKA Mr Biggs.
I feel so lucky to have him. He seems to be settling in very well and I can’t believe how loving and smart he is. I have attached a few photos. I will try to get a video of his zoomies around the yard, it’s really funny to watch.

Alani keeps getting passed over for other dogs. Maybe it’s because she only has one eye, maybe it’s because German Shepherds are a dime in a dozen in the rescue world but we would love some help sharing her story to help her find her forever home.

Meet Alani, a five year old German Shepherd mix weighing 57 pounds.

Alani has spent her life being a mama—she was found with five other dogs, some likely her own pups—and it’s clear she’s given everything she had to her little ones. Now, it’s finally her turn to be cared for. She may have been bred multiple times in the past, but those days are behind her. Alani is ready to retire from motherhood and step into a life filled with comfort, kindness, and love. One of her eyes has an old injury or deformity, but it doesn’t seem to slow her down or dim her gentle spirit.

Alani is a joyful burst of energy wrapped in fur! This outgoing, friendly girl jumps into every situation with all four paws and a huge dose of enthusiasm. She’s treat-motivated and eager to please—she’s currently working on the command “off” and learning how to take treats a little more gently (she just gets so excited!). Alani’s happy-go-lucky spirit is contagious, and she’s sure to bring laughter and love into any home. Alani has met another dog while with us and did very well, we think she would be fine in a home with another dog or as a solo dog. If you're looking for a lively, loving companion who’s ready for adventure and affection, Alani is your girl!

Apply to adopt Alani on our website or contact our adoption center to learn more about her. You can even come and meet her in person during business hours!

Doesn’t Webster have the most contagious smile?! This Bull Terrier mix puppy loves people and dogs AND can’t wait to find a home with you!

Meet Webster, a seven month old Bull Terrier mix weighing 40 pounds.

Webster is the definition of a happy-go-lucky goofball! This medium-sized bundle of joy has a big personality and an even bigger heart. Photos just don’t capture how charming and lovable he really is—you have to meet him to see what all the fuss is about. Webster is always smiling, loves rolling around in the grass, and will gladly flop over for belly rubs any chance he gets. He’s friendly with everyone he meets and soaks up attention like it’s his favorite thing (because it is). He has met another dog while with us and did really well, just wanting to play. He could do great in a home with another dog or as an only dog. We seriously can’t get enough of this guy, and we know you’ll feel the same the moment you meet him!

Apply to adopt Webster online or contact our adoption center with any questions about him. You are welcome to take Webster on a walk or a sleepover as well!

We love updates. Doesn't this girl look happy in her forever home?!

It’s almost been a month with our Lumalee (formally known as Brittany). She is the sweetest, kindest, bravest little girl ever. Her existence is such a gift in our lives and we honestly don’t know how we functioned before bringing her home. Everyday we see more and more of her big personality and she’s slowly learning that it’s okay and encouraged to just be a puppy, to let her guard down, and to feel safe. We love our stinky crazy goofy girl.

As students head back to school, our local animal shelters are seeing a heartbreaking decrease in pet adoptions. 😔🐾

While summer is often a busy time for families adopting, the return to school can mean less time for a new furry friend. This makes it a challenging time for shelters.

If you have room in your heart and home, please consider adopting! You can make a life-saving difference and add so much joy to your family. ❤️
