🎆 4th of July Pet Safety Reminder 🐾

While we enjoy celebrating Independence Day, especially this year for America's 250th, fireworks and socia gatherings can be frightening—and even dangerous—for our pets. A little preparation now can help keep them safe and stress-free.

🐶 Before the festivities begin:
✔️ Double-check fences and gates for any weak spots or escape routes.
✔️ Talk with your veterinarian about calming aids, supplements or medications if your pet struggles with anxiety.
✔️ Make sure collars fit properly and that license tags and ID tags are securely attached.
✔️ Verify that your pet's microchip information is registered and up to date.
✔️ Exercise your pet early in the day to help burn off energy before the fireworks begin.

🎇 During the fireworks:
🏠 Keep pets safely indoors—even those who normally spend time outside.
🎵 Create a quiet, comfortable safe space with calming music, white noise, or the TV to help mask loud booms.
🦴 Offer favorite toys, treats, puzzles, or enrichment activities to provide a positive distraction.
🍔 If you're hosting guests, remind everyone not to feed table scraps or party foods to your pets, as many holiday foods can upset their stomachs or be toxic.

A few simple precautions can make the holiday much safer and less stressful for your four-legged family members.
