Ochee traded the kennel for a job at the front desk, deciding that greeting humans was a lot easier than negotiating with thirty opinionated dogs before breakfast. Now, instead of dodging flying tennis balls and untangling leashes, Ochee spends the day answering phones, handing out smiles, and pretending to know where every missing package went.

The dog days of summer are here—and for cats, too! It's the perfect time for fun adventures, whether you're traveling, swimming, camping, or simply enjoying the warm weather outdoors. Your pets love summer activities just as much as you do, but it's important to keep their safety in mind.

Make sure your dogs and cats stay well hydrated, have access to shade and cool places to rest, and are never left in hot cars. Be aware of potential summer hazards such as heatstroke, hot pavement, dehydration, and increased exposure to insects and parasites.

With a little extra care, you and your furry companions can enjoy a safe, healthy, and memorable summer together. 🐾☀️

Did you know that we have a "Barn Cat" program? Not only that but we’ve got two barn cats that are chipped, eartipped, and ready to come home right meow!

Cats in this program are not your regular friendly outdoor cat. These kitties will most likely not be begging for affection or even come very near to your front door except for dinner. If you are willing to care for the needs (food, water, shelter, and regular vet care) of an outdoor kitty stop in and ask about our Barn Cat program.

Not just our Barn Cats, but every cat we adopt out will be spayed/neutered, have had initial vaccines and Rabies, dewormed, given flea preventative, microchipped, and barn cats come with a crate and sample bag of food.

Please call our intake department at 678-493-4387 for more information
