🍂 Did you know pets can suffer from seasonal allergies too? Just like us, they can be sensitive to fall triggers like ragweed pollen and mold from damp leaves.

Instead of sneezing and watery eyes, pets often show allergies through itchy skin, paw licking, red spots, or even ear infections.

If you’re noticing these signs, your pet may be struggling with fall allergies. Regular baths, wiping paws after walks, and washing bedding often can help—but if symptoms persist, a vet visit is best to rule out other causes and get them relief.

September is Su***de Prevention Month 💛

The veterinary profession is extremely rewarding, but it also comes with unique challenges. Studies show that veterinarians and vet staff face higher rates of burnout, depression, and su***de than the general population. Long hours, emotional cases, and the weight of responsibility for our patients can take a toll.

This month, we want to remind everyone—staff and pet owners alike—that it’s okay to ask for help. Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your patients.

If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out. Resources like the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline (in the U.S.) are available 24/7.

❤️🐾 Today is International Day of Charity — a perfect time to share a cause close to our hearts.

At Etowah Veterinary Hospital, we have a Pets in Need Fund, a special fund used to offer small financial assistance to clients during difficult times, helping ensure pets receive care when it’s needed most.

In memory of each beloved pet euthanized at our hospital, we donate $5 to this fund as a way to honor their lives by helping others. 🌈🐶🐱

Together, we’re creating a circle of care — honoring those we’ve loved by helping those still in need. If you'd ever like to contribute or learn more, just ask — every dollar makes a difference.

Happy World Beard Day!

Today we’re celebrating all the glorious beards — especially the furry, drooly, scruffy ones attached to our favorite four-legged friends. 😄🐶

From majestic schnauzers to those shaggy chins on senior pups, we salute the beards that make pets even more lovable (and sometimes a little slobbery).

Got a bearded pet? Show off that fuzzy face in the comments below!

Technology at its finest... sort of.

Is there anything more precious than a FaceTime call between a dog and a baby — neither of whom can talk, text, or hold the phone steady?

Did they stare, drool, and accidentally hang up twice? Also yes. 😂

Sometimes friendship needs no words — just wiggly tails and baby giggles. Have a great weekend everyone!
