🎄🎄ADOPTION ALERT 🎄🎄 Scrappy-Doo Puppy Power! 🐾

Scrappy is full of personality and definitely lives up to his name! He’s an amazing cuddler and always wants to be in the middle of what is going on - if someone comes in for a hug with his family, Scrappy squeezes in right in between! He enjoys walks and splits his time between Northfield and Saint Paul with his new human-mama's boyfriend.

He’s especially gentle with his new 6-year-old human sister who loves running around the house with his toys. Scrappy sleeps with her in her bed and they’re inseparable.

Scrappy has a playful, mischievous streak—he’ll test anyone to see what he can get away with. He’s also incredibly strong and muscular, growing from about 42–47 lbs when he arrived to nearly 80 lbs now! His giant head and bold, ready-to-play attitude earned him the name “Scrappy-Doo.”

He’s highly intelligent, loves chasing rabbits (but stops at the fence when they’re gone), and has found a nemesis in the evil Treadmill, which he warns will never have world domination as long as he is on the scene! He is constantly showing his puppy-power to Treadmill by barking, hopping, and even letting Treadmill's belt run through his teeth! Treadmill will NEVER win his humans hearts.

Scrappy's new human mom shared "I’m so grateful we got the call about Scrappy just days after losing my boyfriend’s dog. He’s already becoming my daughter’s best friend—and we all absolutely love him."

🚨 Adoption Alert! 🚨 Not Just another Number 🐶

Brenda, a dedicated foster volunteer for MNBR, has fostered two boxers over the past several months—Zeke and Falco—and successfully found the BEST forever homes for them! She describes fostering as an incredibly rewarding experience. 🫶

Around the time the second foster was being placed, Brenda received a call about a need for foster homes for several senior dogs and possibly some puppies arriving from a recently closed puppy mill. Brenda and her family said YES! and shortly thereafter picked up a puppy they named Mugsy —retiring his old name "Number “2607”.

When Mugsy first arrived, he was shy, underweight, had scars from spending too much time in a kennel, and lacked muscle mass, which affected his gait. Given his history, one might expect him to be withdrawn—but he was just the opposite! Mugsy is affectionate, loves being near everyone, and is super sweet. He's even decided that playing with his new family's current dog, Daisy, is WAY BETTER than any toy or chewie.

Needless to say, Brenda and her family fell right in love with Mugsy and knew they could give him the life he deserves.

Today, Mugsy has strong thigh muscles and a normal gait. They’re still working on adding weight, but he burns plenty of calories playing nonstop with Daisy.

**ADOPTION ALERT** Bruno is in the HOUSE! 🐾

Bruno is thriving in Plainview, MN with his new family and home. He enjoys plenty of hugs, long walks, and the company of the family cat, Pickles🥒 Bruno also loves popcorn 🍿 as well as a variety of tasty treats. On the rare occasion when the stars align, he sneaks a slice of pizza from the counter if it’s left too close to the edge! He truly is the dream dog his forever family had been waiting for and was well worth the wait!

🎉 SUCCESSFUL ADOPTION ALERT! 🎉 King Chuck is in the HOUSE! 👑

Chuck made himself at home the moment he walked into his forever home. His new dog-mom-and-dad have loved 12 previous boxers, and only two others have settled in so quickly!

From day one, Chuck claimed his human’s lap for pre-bedtime and daily naps. At night? Forget the foot of the bed—he snuggles right between his owners, often trying to snag a pillow (and if not, a leg will do!).

Chuck is incredibly smart and picked up household routines in no time. His only challenge? Barking at people and dogs on the street—especially when outside—but his new family is working on it with love and patience.

This amazing family has been longtime MNBR adopters and spent 12 years volunteering with Austin Boxer Rescue. We at MNBR are so thankful for their generous hearts and commitment to giving boxers the best life possible!

SUCCESSFUL ADOPTION STORY! ❤️🥷 Heart Thief at Large!❤️🥷

Miller has successfully gotten away with stealing the hearts of his new family (along with their beds and couches!)

He loves his new fur siblings, and ESSPECIALLY his new human brother!

His new forever family describes Miller as a goofy, clumsy love bug. Within the first week, Miller made it VERY clear he didn’t enjoy being crated, so now he roams the house with his new dog-brothers-from-another-mother (as they perform their security team duties). He absolutely loves evenings and weekends when his whole family is home and safe—that’s when he snuggles right up and really leans into full relaxation mode!

In the words from his new humans, "We adore him and feel so blessed to love him for the rest of his years!”

Thanksgiving is a day to give thanks for the gifts in our lives, be it our pets, people, an experience, a thing or even a sunny day. In the rescue world, it often comes in the form of life, literally. Today, MNBR Alum, Louise, sent us this adorable photo thanking us for taking a chance on her "mix" and helping her find her forever family 7 years ago with Liz and Brandon. 🥰

All of us at MNBR are thankful for all of you who donate your time, funds, gas, cars, items the rescue needs and so much more. We couldn't operate if it wasn't for all of you, especially the volunteers who take active roles to keep this rescue running. Thank you!

Welcome home, Ollie Bean! ❤️ From yard zoomies to lap cuddles! 🚀

When Pamela and her boyfriend met a few years ago, they immediately agreed on one of the most important things a couple can agree upon: they were both Boxer people through and through.

After losing their beloved Arlo, the house felt too quiet, and their girl Lucy (adopted from MNBR in 2020) was missing her buddy. So, they reached out to MNBR—and along came Ollie Bean (formerly Banksy)!

Ollie has been a wonderful addition to their family, filling a little bit of the hole Arlo left behind. One minute he’s tearing around the yard, the next he’s trying to crawl into a lap for cuddles. His silly personality shines more each day, and he and Lucy are already besties. Ollie's new dog-mom, Pamala shared ‘We couldn’t imagine our lives without him. Thank you, MNBR!’

A great big WELCOME HOME to Ollie! May your Thanksgiving be filled with humans dropping food on the floor and lots of laps available for cuddling!
