Happy National Trails Day! 🐾
If you are hitting the trails with your pup this summer, here is a quick reminder on
trail etiquette.

Keep your dog leashed at all times, even if they are friendly. Not every dog or hiker you encounter on trail feels the same way.
A leash also helps protect your pet from unexpected wildlife encounters that can be dangerous for everyone involved.
Stay on marked trails, clean up after your pet, and always bring plenty of water for both of you. Happy adventuring!

Today is Heat Awareness Day, and with summer just around the corner, it's a great time to brush up on how to keep your pets safe in the heat! 🌡🐾

Here's what to watch for and what to do:
Never leave your pet in a parked car. Temperatures inside a car can become life threatening in just minutes.
Check the pavement before walks. If it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws.
Know the signs of heatstroke: heavy panting, excessive drooling, lethargy, vomiting, or confusion.
If you see these signs, cool your pet down and contact us immediately.
Always have fresh water available, especially outdoors.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we want to take a moment to talk about something we see every day: the incredible impact pets have on our wellbeing. 💚
Studies show that spending time with animals can lower cortisol levels, reduce feelings of loneliness, boost mood, and even lower blood pressure. But if you're a pet owner, you probably didn't need a study to tell you that. You already know what it feels like to come home to a wagging tail or a purring cat after a hard day.
Our pets give so much. We're grateful to help keep them healthy so they can keep showing up for you. 🐾

Memorial Day weekend is here!
Before you fire up the grill and head to the water, here are a few pet safety reminders:
🌊 Not all pets are strong swimmers. Always supervise near water and consider a pet life jacket.
☀ Pets can get sunburned and overheat. Provide shade and fresh water at all times.
🦟 Mosquitos and fleas are everywhere. Make sure your pet's preventatives are up to date!
🔥 Keep pets away from the grill. Hot coals and fatty foods can both be dangerous.
