We are proud to share this update from MAVT and even more excited to share that several members of our team have successfully completed the licensure process and are now officially Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs)!

Congratulations to all of the veterinary technicians who have earned this well-deserved credential. Thank you for your dedication to providing exceptional patient care and for helping elevate our profession! 💙🐾

Today marks a historic milestone for the veterinary profession in Minnesota: as of July 1, 2026, veterinary technician licensure is officially in effect across our state!

This achievement represents years of dedication, advocacy, collaboration, and persistence by countless individuals who believed that veterinary technicians deserve professional recognition through licensure. What was once a vision has now become reality.

The Minnesota Association of Veterinary Technicians extends our sincere gratitude to everyone who helped make this possible. To the volunteers, advocates, legislators, veterinary professionals, and supporters who dedicated their time and energy to this effort- thank you!

We are especially grateful for our partnership with the MVMA Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association. Working together toward a shared goal strengthened our profession and demonstrated what can be accomplished through collaboration.

Today is more than the implementation of a law, it is the beginning of a new chapter for veterinary technicians in Minnesota. Licensure helps elevate our profession, strengthens public trust, and recognizes the education, knowledge, and skills that licensed veterinary technicians bring to patient care every day.

To every veterinary technician in Minnesota: congratulations on this historic day! Thank you for the care, compassion, and expertise you provide to animals, clients, and veterinary teams every day.

🎆 The holiday is almost here! If your pet gets anxious during fireworks, now is the time to plan ahead.

Many dogs become stressed by loud noises, and medications can help some pets stay calmer and more comfortable. If your pet has used anxiety medication before or you think they may need it, please contact our office before the holiday. Prescription requests often increase this time of year, so don't wait until the last minute!

A little preparation can make a big difference in helping your furry family member feel safe while everyone celebrates. 🐾❤️

Summer construction is underway throughout the City of Woodbury.

Currently, Woodlane Drive is reduced to one lane, with northbound travel unavailable. We also anticipate that access to the Wooddale Lane entrance may be periodically closed during construction.
