Rumi girl 💔😭 just shared an update on our last post.

Doc says she’s got a grade 2-3 heart murmur . /:
She got a warm compress and meds started, and got her eyes cleaned out.
The swelling stayed down after we drained some of the blood out, but it’s still a bit bruised and it hasn’t filled back up yet.

Meet Rumi -
Rescued after her owners moved and left her behind. She’s only just a babyyy we believe she’s around 9 months old.

She kept crying to come inside while the landlord was doing showings for the house. We immediately made a plan to get her and bring her into our President’s house. We have been closed for intake due to funds being low. So we waited to see if we can network her but had no luck. Some close friends donated to get her fixed and vetted.

After she went to the vet, we found out she was fiv+ and early pregnant. Unfortunately her bloodwork wasn’t great either. We debated on all the options and decided it was best for her to get spayed now and keep an eye on her liver values and help her recover indoors.

She’s as sweet as the come. She chirps and purrs.. she makes biscuits all day long. She talks to you and just wants attention nonstop.

She’s now at our urgent care to take care of an infection after her spay and a pretty bad upper respiratory infection. ): see our previous post for today’s update.

Meet Rumi. She’s a hot mess right now. But we will get her back to normal soon. 😭😭 I’ll make another post with earlier pics from this week introducing her, but right now she’s in need of medical treatment.

Our Rumi girl isn’t doing well. We’re back at the vet. She’s my fiv + kitty that we rescued after her owners left her behind and moved out. She’s got a pocket of blood where her incision was & a bad upper respiratory. She’s still in pretty good mood and there’s no fever.
