We’re back at it this week featuring Kate!

Kate has been with WAH for 15 years, working nearly a decade as a technician before switching up to the reception desk.

She has a particular soft spot for crusty old dogs, and a commitment to veterinary hospice and end of life care. She currently has three geriatric border collies - Oxford, Bash, and Squish. Herding dogs are her favorite because they are so intelligent and their neuroses tend to complement her own.

When not at WAH as an employee or a client, she can be found working at , cheering at the baseball park, in the woods with her husband Scott, or reading in her personal library. Need a book recommendation? Hit her up!

One of our clients needs help rehoming their cat after they went into memory care.

The Cat is a 10 year old, neutered male and reported to be the sweetest cat ever!

He loves a lap, a cuddle, a nice piece of string or catnip mouse (or real mouse, hunter instinct strong).

Will throw his arms around you and purr when picked up.

Loves his belly rubbed, will stretch his legs out.

Watches TV or laptop videos with you attentively.

Large vocabulary of soft conversant meows when you pet him.

Will stare at you and close his eyes silently to show adoration.

The Cat sounds like quite the cat!

Why Wellness Bloodwork Matters 🐾♥️

Keep Your Pet Healthy, Longer
Even when pets look healthy, hidden changes may be happening inside their body. Bloodwork helps by allowing us to:
• ✔ Check Organ Health – liver, kidneys, and other vital organs.
• ✔ Detect Early Disease – many issues show up on lab results before symptoms appear.
• ✔ Establish a Baseline – know what’s “normal” for your pet to track changes over time.
• ✔ Guide Nutrition & Medications – ensure food and medicines are processed safely.

What’s Included?
• Complete Blood Count (CBC): Checks red & white blood cells, anemia, infection.
• Chemistry Panel: Evaluates organ function, electrolytes, glucose.
• Urinalysis: Gives a full picture of kidney health & hydration.

Benefits
• Simple. Safe. Same-Day Results.
A small blood sample provides big insights into your pet’s health.

Give us a call at 406-862-3178 if you would like to schedule your pets wellness bloodwork.

MISSING KITTY! This is “Sootsie”. She is a 2yo sassy, friendly, petite tortoiseshell tabby. She was last seen leaving home in the Whitefish Willowbrook subdivision in the morning on Friday- Sept 5 ! She hunts and explores the field behind our house!

She is rarely gone longer than a few hours - but did not come home last night- really hoping she is trapped in someone’s garage or garden shed. Please look! She could be in the armory/willowbrook/creekwood/voerman communities. ❤️

Sadly- she was not wearing her collar but is microchipped.

Please DM me if you see her.
Please share with locals in these neighborhoods. Thank you. 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

We are thrilled to announce the newest member of our staff Dr. Lena (Terry) Blackhurst!

She pursued her undergraduate studies in Wildlife Biology at Montana State University before attending veterinary school at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. She has practiced small animal medicine in Kalispell and Missoula since graduating. Dr. Terry’s veterinary interests include dentistry, urgent care, internal medicine, ultrasound, and pain management. She values a low-stress, gentle approach with her patients. We can’t wait for Dr. Lena to meet all of our wonderful patients and clients - in the meantime, have a great week!
