❤️ Reunited and It Feels So Good! ❤️
Today we were reminded why microchips are such an important part of pet ownership.
This beautiful feline friend was found outside several months ago and was lovingly taken in by Stephanie, who affectionately named him Millie Mae GTS (because he was found under a black GTS). Since then, he has been safe, loved, and well cared for.
When Millie Mae came to see us today for a new pet exam, we performed a routine microchip scan—and what happened next was nothing short of amazing.
Millie Mae wasn't actually Millie Mae at all. His real name is Twitch, and his microchip was registered to a family who had been desperately missing him since January 13th.
After more than 5 months apart, Twitch's family is finally getting the call they've been hoping for.
Stories like this are exactly why we encourage all pet owners to microchip their pets and keep their contact information up to date. Collars can slip off, tags can become unreadable, but a registered microchip provides a permanent form of identification that can help bring lost pets home.
A huge thank you to Stephanie for opening her home and heart to this sweet boy and making sure he received the veterinary care that ultimately led to this reunion. ❤️
Please join us in celebrating this happy ending 5 months in the making and share your favorite reunion stories in the comments! 🐾🏡💕
