We have a big announcement to make as 2025 comes to a close! We have moved our program to Tailwinds on Woods Hollow Road in Westford!

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of the program over the last year and for making this change go as smooth as it could! It was no easy task moving a whole program and six horses. We appreciate all the welcoming new faces at Tailwinds and look forward to adding to the great barn community!

Thank you to our previous landlords at Poker Hill Stables for giving this program such a great home for the last several years. We wouldn’t be where we are without you!

We currently have limited lesson spots available starting in mid January!

You don’t have to guess what *might* work for your horse. That’s too much trial and error, and every error costs $50-$200, and weeks to months of struggle. Bit fitting gives you the chance to try different bits and compare how your horse goes, so you can make the best choice! It’s efficient and ultimately more economical. Reach out to get scheduled!

Our barn will have one-two stalls available June 1st as our winter boarders are leaving. Barn chores and lessons are required. We offer private or group turn out, a large outdoor riding ring, an attached indoor with new lighting and footing, heated and locked tackroom, and a locker room area to keep extra gear. We feed triple crown feeds. Hay is fed 3 times per day and we have heated water buckets for the winter. Horse’s must respect electric fencing. We offer a friendly and low key environment for riders. We go to local schooling and rated dressage shows as well as host a few clinics a year. We are located off Poker Hill Road in Underhill VT

Ideally we are looking for a boarder that would be interested in offering a half lease to a mom and daughter pair that are beginner/advanced beginner.

We also have just chores spots available with the opportunity to work off a half lease and lessons on a fun large pony.

We currently have three lesson spots open! We cater to beginners through advanced riders who would like to focus on developing their skills as horse people and not just riders. We focus on teaching from dressage foundations for balanced and quiet riding. We teach horsemanship from a soft but clear approach in order to establish a balanced relationship between horse and rider.

3:15/3:30 on Tuesdays
4:45 on Fridays

Please reach out via email if you are interested in lessons. We also offer week day morning lessons on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

I currently have a few beginner to advanced beginner lesson spots open. The current availability is every other Thursday at 4:30, every other Friday at 5:45 and every Saturday at 10. We have great medium sized ponies to teach your little ones on. We strive to create all around horse people in a positive low pressure environment with lots of fun! Impulsion Riding School has one stall available starting December 1st for a well behaved gelding or mare that is interested in being used lightly in a small beginner to intermediate dressage focused lesson program in exchange for reduced board. If you think this would be a good fit for you and your horse please reach out for more information!

Location: Poker Hill Road Underhill VT

Full board includes:
Hay 2-4 times per day
Triple Crown grain 2 times per day
Blanket changes within reason
Option for group or private turn out weather dependent
Stalled at night
Outdoor arena
Indoor arena attached to barn
Access to clean fresh water 24/7
Heated tackroom & bathroom!
Dry lot available if necessary

Horse must be respectful of electric fencing. We are open to any farrier and vets.

It’s April and it’s still snowing and everyone who owns a horse right now is a bit miserable. Let’s get our spirits up and plan for warmer weather and summer fun! Our July four day camp is full but we still have spots in the other camps!! Please share!
