Gina is a sweet elderly stray who’s spent her life on the streets, surviving on scraps and kindness from a few caring neighbors. They’ve done what they can—feeding her and protecting her, But now Gina needs more than food and shelter—she needs surgery. She has a mammary tumor that’s growing fast. If it’s not removed soon, it could rupture and put her in serious pain or worse. The same surgery that will save her life also gives her a chance at a healthier future: she’ll be spayed, vaccinated, and get the medical care she’s gone without for years. It’s with deep sadness that we say goodbye to Chiquito 🌈🐾💜.
Even though he was old, we still held hope that with love and care, we could bring him back to health and give him more time. But his little body was too tired and too weak to keep fighting.

He passed peacefully in his sleep, like a little angel.
Forever in our hearts.

Pinki is now Spayed! 💕

This sweet girl is now spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and protected with a 3-month flea and tick pill. After three days of recovery, she’s heading back today to the Piantini Case building—healthy, and no longer at risk of bringing more puppies into a tough world.

Thanks to the support of our five generous monthly donors, Pinki won’t have more litters. That’s one less dog contributing to the cycle of suffering.

In our way to an intervention, we spotted this sweet dog walking slowly and sadly in the rain, soaked from the heavy downpour. As we got closer, we saw he had a massive tumor on his testicles. We followed him, hoping to help, and he led us to a garbage dump where he was searching for scraps to eat. The tumor is worse than we thought. It has ruptured, is badly infected, and crawling with maggots. It’s clear that Pinti has been suffering for a long time—alone and abandoned. Thank God we found him. Chimu Needs Our Help

Yesterday, we received an urgent call: Chimu escaped his home and was found two blocks away, unable to walk. He was likely hit by a car and left injured. X-rays show he has a fractured femoral head and needs surgery.

His family, who are low-income, reached out to us in desperation. Through our program to help rescued pets from families in need, we want to give Chimu a chance—but we can’t do it alone.

Spay & Neuter: A Win-Win 🐾

Guffy, Carlos, Negra and Uni were all spayed/ neutered through our program — a crucial step to reduce unwanted litters and give these animals healthier, happier lives. By preventing new litters, we also ease the burden on our community and reduce suffering for countless strays.

The Patricia Blanco Animal Foundation runs a daily spay and neuter program for strays and pets from low-income families. We give priority to dogs and cats in heat because preventing new litters is an urgent need.
