🐾💕 An Unexpected Passenger with a Happy Ending! 🐱

Meet Bartholomew! 🧡 This sweet little kitten was discovered hiding inside our veterinary assistant Shilou’s car! 🚗🐾

What started as a surprise turned into a heartwarming story when Bartholomew found his forever home with our very own Dr. Midkiff! 🏡❤️

We think he found himself the purr-fect family! 🥹💕

🐾💙 **Happy Veterinary Technician Week!** 💙🐾

This week we’re celebrating a few of our favorite veterinary technicians — Cara, Carolyn, Jen, Jessie, Katie, and Lindsey! 🐶🐱

Thank you all for the compassion, dedication, hard work, and love you bring to our patients and our clinic each and every day. From providing exceptional patient care to comforting worried pets, supporting their families, and keeping everything running behind the scenes, you make such a difference in the lives of so many. ❤️

Your knowledge, teamwork, and big hearts are truly invaluable, and we’re so grateful to have you as part of our team! Our patients (and all of us!) are lucky to have you. 🩺🐾

Help us show these amazing techs some love and appreciation this Veterinary Technician Week! Drop a 💙 in the comments to celebrate them! 🎉

10/18/2026

Ask anyone who’s brought their pet to see us who made the visit a little easier, and there’s a good chance they’ll mention a vet tech. 🧡 They’re the gentle hands, the reassuring voices, and the quiet heroes who keep care moving for every pet that comes through our doors. This year’s National Veterinary Technician Week theme celebrates the soul of veterinary medicine, and we can’t think of a better description of our technicians.

To every AcutePet vet tech: thank you for the heart you bring to this work, every single day. 🐾 Has a vet tech made a difference for you or your pet? Tell us about them in the comments!

On World Mental Health Day and every day, a little kindness goes a long way. 🧡 Veterinary teams give so much to pets and their families, through the hard days and the happy ones, and it means a lot when you say thank you or share a happy update. At AcutePet, caring for pets goes hand-in-hand with caring for our team, and every kind word helps brighten a team member’s day. 🐾

10/06/2026

There’s something pretty special about spending the day with the future of veterinary medicine. 🧡

We had such a great day at the 2026 Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine Career Expo, talking with students about what a career at AcutePet Urgent Care can look like — from externships to life as a DVM and everything that makes our teams special.

Dr. John Anastasio represented our medical leadership and shared more about externship and DVM opportunities. Annie Gerding, DVM — and proud OSU alum — gave students a firsthand look at life as an AcutePet veterinarian, while Elissa Mohler, our Grove City Practice Manager, spoke to the support, culture and people behind our hospitals.

And THAT is our favorite part of days like this: students getting to hear directly from the people who are living our mission every day.

So many great conversations, so much excitement for what’s ahead, and a lot to be proud of.

Vet-Owned. People-First. And very happy to be a part of the Buckeye veterinary community. 🐾

🐾 Meet Tippy! 🐾

Tippy came to our urgent care team after experiencing vomiting and diarrhea. Our team provided the care and treatment Tippy needed to get back on the road to feeling better. ❤️

We’re sending lots of love Tippy’s way and hope that happy, wagging tail is back in action very soon! 🥰🐾

🎉 Congratulations to Samantha, our Lead Client Care Representative at our Beavercreek location, featured in the North American Association of Veterinary Receptionists NAAVR's September Newsletter!

Her article, "There's No 'Just' About It: Why Investing in Yourself Matters," speaks to anyone who's ever had their job title undersell everything they actually do. Samantha writes about the many roles CSRs juggle — from client education to team support — and shares real, practical ways to protect your energy and set boundaries along the way.

With 16 years of experience in veterinary care, Samantha knows firsthand that CSRs are, in her words, "the heartbeat of the practice." We couldn't agree more. Thank you for representing AcutePet and advocating for CSRs everywhere, Samantha! 🐾

🐾🌳 We had a PAW-some time at Bark in the Park! 🐶💙 Our team had so much fun enjoying the day, meeting furry friends, and celebrating our love for all things dogs! 🐕✨

Thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a fun day! 🐾

Picture yourself here. 📸🧡

That's exactly what we hoped IVECCS Career Fair attendees felt last night at our booth — welcoming spaces & friendly faces, ready to talk about what it's really like to be part of the AcutePet team.

So many great conversations with talented DVMs, techs, and future teammates. Grateful for every one. 🐾

💕 Meet sweet little Ellie! 💕
This adorable 12-week-old miniature long-haired Dachshund came to see us after a little too much rough-and-tumble play with her much larger housemate, which left her with an injury near her left eye. 🐾👀

With a little TLC from Dr. Hanson and Cara, Ellie was feeling much better and headed home with plenty of kisses, cuddles, and medication to help keep her comfortable. 💗
We’re so happy we could help this sweet girl get back on her paws and ready to kick some butt at home again! 😉🐶
Feel better soon, Ellie! 🥰

AcutePet is heading to IVECCS in Savannah, GA — and we're showing up in a big way! 🧡

Members of our executive leadership team will be joined by DVMs and RVTs from nearly every AcutePet location for continuing education, great conversations, and time together outside our hospital walls.

It's a rare chance to bring so much of our growing team together — and an even better one to meet the people who make AcutePet what it is.

Will you be at IVECCS? Look for our team throughout the week, and stop by the Career Fair to say hello:

📍 Booth 207 | Governor's Ballroom C
📅 Monday, September 14
⏰ 3:45–6:45 PM

Stop by, hear where AcutePet is growing, and snap an Instax photo with us. We'd love to help you picture yourself at AcutePet. 🐾

Happy Labor Day! Just a reminder that our locations will have abbreviated hours today, 10 AM – 4 PM. Wishing you and your pets a safe and relaxing holiday! 🐾🧡

09/07/2026

Happy Labor Day from the hardest working (and best flower-smelling) team at AcutePet 🧡

Fun fact: Boxers are officially classified as a working breed. Our team's boxers took that job title very seriously this weekend. Shelby, our HR Director, has two very dedicated employees: Selah clocked in with a measuring tape (very important renovation project, we're told), while Sunny supervised some tractor work. Our Finance Assistant Veronica's family got in on it too. Their boxer Bentley took the day to stop and smell the flowers.

Whatever "working" looks like for you today, we hope it involves good company and maybe a snack. Our teams are here until 4 if you need us, but we hope you don't 🧡

🐾 Meet Nova! 💕

Nova came to us after getting into some raisins—something that can be very toxic to dogs. Nova received prompt treatment from our team to help her get back on the road to recovery. 🩺💗

We’re hoping sweet Nova is feeling back to her happy self soon! 🐶✨

🚨 Remember: If your pet eats raisins or grapes, contact your veterinarian or an emergency/urgent care clinic right away.

09/04/2026

Here's to a fun, relaxing end of summer! 🌞 We'll have abbreviated hours to help our team enjoy it too, with reduced hours on Monday from 10 AM to 4 PM. As always, you can book an appointment online if your pet needs us.

Wishing you and your pets a safe and happy Labor Day holiday! 🧡

08/26/2026

Happy National Dog Day from all of us at AcutePet! Whether they're curled up next to you right now or waiting at home for you to get back, dogs have a way of making everything feel a little brighter 🧡

We'd love to see yours. Share a photo of your dog in the comments today!
