If you will be traveling, please pick up any needed prescriptions by end of day, Wednesday, November 26th, in case they are needed over the weekend.
In the case of any emergencies, please keep our recommended emergency care numbers handy (see below).

HAPPY HOWL-O-WEEN from Animal Hospital of West Chester! We held our annual pet costume contest and we have some winners we thought we'd share with you.
Please keep your pets safe this Halloween by keeping all candy/treats out of reach and keep your furry family members leashed while trick or treating!

HAPPY VET ASSISTANT WEEK to our incredible team (and all of the other vet assistants out there) of multi-tasking ninjas - Emma, Kenzi, Lex, Maddison, and Maddy! This week honors them and the work they do to provide top care to all of our patients. They are givers of treats, smooches, and medicine, exam room flow masters, cleaners, x-ray takers, and everything in-between! We are grateful for each of them and look forward to celebrating with them this week! 😍😀🤩

**MICROCHIP COMPANY “Save This Life” IS CLOSING**. We have not received any information from the company, however multiple news channels and chip management inquires with the company have failed. At this time, if your pet has a “Save This Life” microchip we recommend you follow these steps to prevent a crisis should your pet become lost:
1. Find your pet’s microchip number. Check your pets adoption papers, medical records, or Petdesk information for the chip number. If you are unable to locate the number we are able to scan your pet for the number.
2. Look up the number on American Animal Hospital Association website which will tell you what company the microchip is registered with.
3. If the chip is registered with Save This Life, re-register it with another company. Some reputable companies include: AKC Reunite ( $22.99 lifetime enrollment), PetLink ($29.99 reg fee. Try Promo code STL499 for$4.99 lifetime warranty), 24PetWatch ($119.95), HomeAgain $19.99 reg fee.

**Please reach out to us with any questions or assistance with microchip management. Be VERY PATIENT with us as our call volume is high at this time. It is best to email us or use Petdesk and give us 24 hrs to pull your pets records and respond. If we do not have any chip information in your pet’s medical records, we will need to SCHEDULE a tech visit to scan your pet for the chip number.
