🚨 Foster Needed for Luna 🚨

Luna is a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix who needs a break from shelter life. 💔
This sweet, smart girl absolutely loves people and wants to be with them all the time. Unfortunately, being in a kennel has been very stressful for her. While she does her best, shelter life simply isn't where Luna thrives — she'd much rather be spending time with her favorite thing in the world: humans!

Luna is currently enrolled in our Polished Pup behavior program, where she's working on good doggy manners, polite leash skills, and becoming the best companion she can be. She's eager to learn, loves attention, and is always ready to make new friends.

Whether it's an overnight stay, a weekend, or a longer foster placement, any amount of time out of the shelter would mean the world to Luna. A foster home would give her a chance to relax, decompress, and enjoy the companionship she craves while she waits for her forever family.

At 50 pounds, Luna is the perfect mix of playful, affectionate, and loyal. If you have room in your home and heart for this beautiful girl, please consider fostering her.

🐾 Happy Tail! 🐾

We got our dog River (previously Soren) from Wenatchee Valley Humane Society and he is the best thing to happen to us. Such a sweet boy and we are so lucky to have been able to adopt him! He moved from Wenatchee to Michigan with us and he is thriving!!! So thankful for Wenatchee Valley Humane Society!

🎓 Congratulations to the students in the Transition Program at Wenatchee High School! 🎉

We were honored to attend your end-of-year celebration and graduation ceremony on June 9 and hear students share their stories and accomplishments from the past year. What an inspiring reminder of how much growth, hard work, and dedication can happen in just one school year!

The Transition Program students are an invaluable part of our shelter family. Throughout the year, they help keep our shelter clean and stocked, prepare meals for our animals, and spend quality time giving love and attention to our adoptable cats.

Their kindness, commitment, and positive attitudes make a meaningful difference every day.

Thank you for everything you do for the animals in our care. We are so proud of all you have accomplished and are excited to welcome both returning and new students this fall. We appreciate each and every one of you more than words can say! 💙🐱🐶

Meet Sprout and Bud, two adorable 4-week-old puppies who are looking for a safe and loving foster home! 💕 These newly weaned pups are still too young to be in the shelter environment and would thrive in a foster home while they continue to grow.

Our goal is for them to remain in foster care until they are 8 weeks old, but we appreciate any amount of time you can help. Every day spent in a foster home makes a difference and is truly life-saving work.

The 4th of July is consistently the busiest time of year for our Animal Care & Control officers—and for good reason. Fireworks can be overwhelming for pets, and the noise and commotion often lead to frightened animals escaping their homes.

We want to help keep your pup safe, secure, and as stress-free as possible this holiday season.

Chip, Check & Chill is a limited-time clinic offering designed to prepare your dog ahead of the 4th of July with:
📍 Microchipping for safe identification if your pet becomes lost
💊 NEW this year: Wellness exams to determine eligibility for anti-anxiety medication to help your dog stay calm during fireworks

* This special is available for owned dogs only and households must be income qualified.

A huge THANK YOU to the Interact Club at Wenatchee High School for their incredible generosity! 🐾💙

Thanks to their hard work and dedication, they donated over $700 worth of new cat and dog food to help pets in our community. This much-needed food will support both the animals in our shelter and families who rely on our Community Pet Pantry to keep their beloved pets fed and cared for.

We are so grateful for young leaders who are making a difference and showing compassion for animals and the people who love them. Thank you, Interact Club, for helping us create a stronger, more supportive community for pets and people! 🐶🐱✨
