Get ready to climb, cuddle, and support shelter cats! Join us for Climb for Cats, a special benevolent event benefiting the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society at Riverfront Rock Gym!

⏰ 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📍 Riverfront Rock Gym

Come spend the day at the gym and meet some of our adorable adoptable kittens and cats! 🐱❤️ We’ll be bringing furry friends along for you to cuddle, play with, and maybe even fall in love with.

🧗 50% of all day pass proceeds will be donated to WVHS! So every climb helps provide care, shelter, and second chances for animals in need.

And if you meet your purr-fect match… take them home! 🏡🐾

🐾 WVHS is headed to Leavenworth! 🏔️💙

This Saturday, August 29th, we’re taking one of our available shelter pups on a midday adventure in Leavenworth! 🐶

Ryan, our Community Programs Coordinator, will be hanging out with a shelter pup at the Willkommen Center & Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce from 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM. We’d love for you to stop by, say hello, give our pup some love, and chat with us about the animals currently looking for their forever homes! 🐾

🐾 Happy Tail! 🐾

I adopted Willie & Pop (formerly William & Carlton) in the Spring of 2024 -- two bonded blind brothers. I just wanted to share a Happy Tail, as they are the best & silliest cats ever & they bring me so much joy.

Despite the limitations, these boys have blossomed! They're the very best pals. I am never not asking "Where is your brother?!" to one or the other 🤷‍♀️ They never cease to not get in trouble! What they lack in eyes, they make up for in heart. Willie loves food & exploring while on the lead outside. & Pop (formerly Carlton) loves a fuzzy pillow & grooming Tucker (my 70lb chocolate lab). Oh, & ham. They both go crazy for ham.

I love them & I'm so glad I could give them a safe & enriching home (with a giant chocolate dog for them to knead)❣️

🍷🐾 Waggin’ Tails Wine Tour! 🐾🍷

Who says wine tasting is just for humans? Our shelter pups got to enjoy a very special day out in the Chelan Valley! ❤️

Ryan, our Community Program Coordinator, and a couple of amazing volunteers packed up available shelter pups Rosa and Buddy for a Canine Connect adventure through some of Chelan’s wonderful wineries.

From meeting new people to soaking up plenty of love and attention, Rosa and Buddy had an absolute blast getting out of the shelter and experiencing something new. And we have an extra-special happy ending… Buddy even found his forever home! 🥹🐶❤️

A huge THANK YOU to all of the wineries who welcomed us and helped make this such a fun and memorable day for our pups. Experiences like these give shelter animals a chance to socialize, build confidence, and simply enjoy being dogs.

Cool off for a cause at our ACC Lemonade & Pup Cup Fundraiser! 💛

A couple of our Animal Care and Control team will be at Centennial Park in Wenatchee on September 5th from 10 AM – 2 PM, serving up delicious, ice-cold lemonade and pup cups by donation! 🍋🐶

Every sip, slurp and donation helps provide care and support for homeless, sick and vulnerable animals in our community. ❤️

Our Community Pet Pantry helps local pet families who may be struggling make sure their beloved animals have the food and supplies they need. ❤️

Right now, we’re running low on both dry and wet cat food, and we could really use your help!

If you have new or opened bags/bags of cat food that your own pets don’t need or want, we would be incredibly grateful for your donation. Every bag, can, and pouch can make a difference for a fellow community member and their beloved pet. 🐾

🖤 Meet Libby & Luigi! 🧡

These two 2-month-old siblings are growing up in foster care and are ready to find their forever home! 💕

🐱🧡 Libby is the confident little torti of the duo. She’s sweet, affectionate, playful, and always ready for a good cuddle. She loves toys, climbing into laps, and showing her shy brother Luigi that the world isn’t so scary after all!

🐱🖤 Luigi is a gentle, sensitive little guy who just needs a little extra time to feel comfortable. With Libby by his side, he’s been learning to play, enjoy Churu treats, and trust the people around him. Once he feels safe, his purr motor starts right up! 🥹

These two make an adorable pair, and we’d love to see them find a home together. Libby gives Luigi the confidence he needs, while Luigi is happy to follow his sister’s lead. They’d thrive in a patient, loving indoor home where they can continue growing and learning together. 🏡❤️
