Preventive care isn’t just about vaccines. Routine testing helps catch health issues early and keeps your pet protected all year long.

Here are three key wellness checks every pet needs:

🩸 Bloodwork – Detects early signs of illness like kidney or liver disease, diabetes, and infections, even if your pet seems perfectly healthy. It also gives us a baseline to monitor their health over time.

💩 F***l Exams – Screens for hidden parasites like roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, tapeworms, and Giardia. Recommended 2 to 4 times in the first year for puppies and kittens, and annually for adult pets.

Exciting News! Help Us Welcome Dr. Sarah Nordstrom! 🐾

We’re beyond excited to introduce Dr. Sarah Nordstrom, the newest veterinarian at Animal Hospital at Waynesboro!

Born and raised in Middlebrook, VA, Dr. Nordstrom grew up in a veterinary household, sparking a lifelong love for animal care. She earned her Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from the University of Virginia before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. Now, she’s thrilled to bring her passion for pets to our community! 🩺🐶🐱

With special interests in surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, and canine reproduction, Dr. Nordstrom is a fantastic addition to our team.

Outside the clinic, you’ll find her running, hiking, playing pickleball, or exploring local wineries and breweries. She also adores spending time with her Portuguese Water Dog, Iris!
