A last minute emergency this evening was so deserving! This little boy was in a wood pile that had been set on fire. They heard it’s screams for help and got it put out. They were able to recover him and all that was wrong is his hair is burnt on his back. He was one lucky fella big shout out to Dr.Filseth on all her hard work and dedication we appreciate her ALOT! The week ties into National Poison Prevention Week, which details the many dangers of the spring season and how to protect humans from accidental poisoning. National Animal Poison Prevention Week runs as a part of the Pet Poison Prevention Awareness Month, a larger cause to spread awareness about pet poisoning.

5 FACTS ABOUT HOUSEHOLD ITEMS THAT CAN POISON YOUR PETS
1. Sweet food items
Many common sugarless gums, candies, mints, flavored multivitamins, desserts, and even baked goods might contain a sweetener called xylitol, which is toxic to dogs.

2. Human drugs
Drugs like NSAIDs, acetaminophen, and antidepressants can cause serious health issues when ingested by pets.

3. Flowers
Some flowers like lilies are lethal to cats.

4. Chocolate
Certain types of chocolate, such as baker's chocolate and dark chocolate, are more harmful to pets than other chocolate products.

5. Fertilizers and pest control
Fertilizers and pest control products are often combined with dangerous chemicals that are harmful to pets if ingested.
