We are thrilled to announce the addition of Dr. Audra Fisher to the Susquehanna Trail Animal Hospital team. Dr. Fisher graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in May 2026 after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University in 2022 with a major in Animal Science and a minor in Equine Science.

Dr. Fisher chose to come back to her hometown and STAH because she has always felt welcomed and appreciated during her time spent at STAH while shadowing prior to veterinary school and during her veterinary school externships. She enjoys the laughter and comradery among the staff, and the compassion shown to each other, to clients, and to patients.

Professionally, Dr. Fisher enjoys client education, preventative care, ultrasound, internal medicine, clinical pathology, and equine reproduction. Personally, she enjoys riding horses, traveling (especially internationally), and reading. Her favorite animals are sheep (she grew up raising them), dogs (especially Border Collies), and horses (especially Quarter Horses). Although she doesn’t have any pets currently, she looks forward to adding a dog to her household soon.

Dr. Fisher appreciated early in life that she enjoyed spending time with animals and inherently understood how to work with them. For a career, she knew that she wanted to help people, and she realized that she could do that by caring for their animals. She looks forward to being able to reassure, guide, and assist owners in making decisions for their pets while making them feel comfortable with the care they receive, and we know she’ll excel at that at STAH.

We had a wonderful picnic celebrating our amazing staff and the graduation of Dr. Audra Fisher from veterinary school. You may have seen her around the clinic the past year during some of her externships, but Dr. Fisher will be officially starting tomorrow as veterinarian (bio to come tomorrow).

Thanks to The Hatchet House, Plate & Platter: Special Event Catering, Autumn (cake and cupcakes), Dr. Fisher’s family, and all our staff for helping to make our event so special! ❤️

Beans, an adorable Ragdoll, was in today for his annual exam and PureVax vaccines with Dr. Mildrew.
