✅🐾 Tick Check Time! 🐾✅

Late summer and fall are peak tick season, and those tiny hitchhikers can cause big problems for your pets (and you!). After every walk, hike, or playtime in grassy or wooded areas:

🕵️‍♀️ Tick Check Checklist for Pets:
✅ Run hands through fur, parting it to look closely
✅ Start at the head; check ears, neck, and under collar
✅ Look under the legs and between toes
✅ Check the belly and groin area
✅ Don't forget the tail base

If you find a tick, don’t panic! Use fine-tipped tweezers to grasp the tick close to the skin and pull straight out slowly and steadily. Avoid squeezing or twisting.

🐾 Does your cat think the kitchen counter is their personal jungle gym? You’re not alone! Cats love high places, but counters aren’t a good idea. Here are tips to keep curious paws where they belong:

✨ Provide approved climbing spots like cat trees or window perches.
✨ Make counters less appealing by keeping food and clutter put away.
✨ Use double-sided tape or safe deterrent mats on counter edges.
✨ Reward your cat for using their tree or perch instead of the counter.

With a little patience and redirection, you can keep your counters clean and your cat happy! 🐾
