547 days. That’s how long Storm has been waiting for a home of her own. 💔
On her 5th birthday, her shelter friends made sure she knew she was loved. They threw her a birthday party with toys, treats, and a cake. 🎂🐾
But as happy as we were to celebrate her, there was one thing missing…
A home.
Storm came to the shelter as an owner surrender after she and the other dog in her home were not getting along. Her family chose to surrender her, and now, 547 days later, she is still waiting for someone to choose her.
Storm can be cautious when meeting new people and needs patience, consistency, and a calm environment to build trust. Once she feels comfortable, she shows her affectionate side and loves relaxing with her favorite people. She knows basic cues like “sit” and “come” and would thrive with someone who understands her needs and is willing to give her the time she deserves.
Storm would do best as the only dog in an adult-only home where she can finally have the stability, routine, and love she’s been waiting for.
She has spent 547 days celebrating birthdays behind shelter doors.
All Storm wants for her 5th birthday is a home.❤️
