If you're looking for a dog with a big heart and even bigger personality, Ziggy is your guy! This two-year-old terrier mix came to us as a stray. Ziggy is always eager to get out and explore the world around him! He adores toys and is a super playful boy! While he brings a lot of enthusiasm to playtime, he’s still learning some boundaries (we all get a little carried away when we’re having fun, right?). For this reason, he’d do best in an adult only home, where he can continue to work on polite play. This guy already knows "sit" and "paw" and is friendly with everyone. On leash, Ziggy's excitement sometimes turns into strong pulling but with a little training and patience, he's sure to improve. Ziggy is full of potential, ready for adventures, and would thrive with an active, toy-loving human who’s excited to guide him as he continues to learn and grow. Meet Rudy, your new best friend with a tail-wagging heart! He originally came to us back in 2020 and was quickly adopted, but a few years later his owner passed away and he found himself back at the shelter in 2024. Again, he was quickly adopted but unfortunately, he is back here after his most recent home could no longer care for him. At 6.5 years old, Rudy is so full of love! Rudy is the kind of dog who makes you believe in second (or third!) chances. With his soft, affectionate gaze and easygoing nature, he’s a gentle soul just waiting for his true forever home. This lovable terrier mix is a joy to be around. Rudy is playful without being over-the-top, especially when toys are involved (he’s still narrowing down his favorite, but he’s loving the search!). He’s also friendly and open with new people, warming up quickly and showing his affectionate side. He knows how to “sit” like a pro, walks decently on leash (though he can pull when excited), and would do best in a home with kids 12 and up due to his strength. Rudy is a heart-stealer, the perfect blend of sweet and spunky. If you're looking for a loyal companion who’s always ready to love and play, Rudy’s your guy.

Razor is a resilient 3-year-old terrier mix with a gentle heart and a spark for life that’s only just beginning to shine. He came to us under heartbreaking circumstances—found abandoned in a crate in an attic during a brutal New York heatwave, with barely any water and no way to call for help. Despite that, Razor holds no grudges. He meets each new day—and each new person—with cautious optimism and a quiet hope. Once out of his kennel, Razor eagerly steps into the world, ready for a walk, a game of fetch, or just a few minutes of connection. While he’s a little head-shy and hesitant about having his paws touched, he gives a soft pull-away, as if to say, “Maybe later.” Razor loves squeaky toys and rope games, and he really shines during playtime. He’ll fetch, trade toys like a pro, and even respond to "leave it" when it’s time to take a break. He knows how to sit, walks well on leash, and is friendly with new people—though he may be a little shy at first, he warms up quickly with kindness. Due to his tendency to become overstimulated during play or enthusiastic petting, Razor would do best in a calm, adult home with teens 17 and older who can respect his boundaries and energy. Razor is more than his past. He’s playful, affectionate, and quietly brave. With patience and love, he’s ready to bloom into the loyal companion he was always meant to be. He’s come a long way. Now he just needs someone to help him the rest of the way home.
