Lexington Selected Yearling Sale graduate Ocean Storm captured Saturdayโ€™s $570,000 Grade 1 William Wellwood Memorial final at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

The two-year-old son of Chapter Seven raced seventh early before advancing to third at three-quarters. Sitting just one length from the lead at the stretch call, Ocean Storm finished strongly for Yannick Gingras, winning by three-quarters of a length in a lifetime-best 1:52.4, equalling the Wellwood stakes record.
