Galloping into 2026! Reflecting on this past year, we are thankful for all the horses and people that have crossed our path. We had our largest show season, with lots of success! We have a great group of supportive and kind boarders, who love their horses and foster a warm barn environment. We added a few new faces to the barn, and made new friends along the way! 2026, is the year of the horse, and while every year is the year of the horse for us, we wish everyone a wonderful, successful, inspiring year ahead 🎉🐴

We know you’ve always wanted your very own dinosaur for the holidays🎄Quarlo Ask continuing to make us smile every time he goes in the ring. This young man hasn’t shown in a few months and he didn’t miss a beat. His first time jumping in a large indoor, he gives the best feel to the jump. So happy with his steady forward progress. Good job bébé dinosaur 🦕

“Q” 17.2/17.3 Bay Danish Warmblood. Imported end of January 2025, has been happily and easily started in his US show career. Has 3’3” experience in Europe in the jumper ring, cross country schooled, and great on trails.
Q has the sweetest personality, loves to be brushed and doted on. Not spooky, can take a joke, always jumps, brave and honest. Has been started slowly and correctly to have that American feel. He could go in any direction with an amateur or a professional, although we see him excelling in the equitation or derby ring. Young horse with tons of potential.
Simple and uncomplicated to get to the ring. Plenty of scope, has a lead change, walks the lines, lots of presence, big horse that never feels big when riding. Just moved up and showing the 2’6”, plenty of talent and room for much more. Recently reserve champion in the 2’3” hunter with an adult ammy at HITS and qualified for local finals. Has been to many locations in his short show career and is never phased. Just did a hunt teams for fun, and he was a rockstar. Clips, loads, mane pulls, stands for the vet/farrier, just a really good young horse.
X-rays and vetting from import on file. Currently priced in the mid five figures, grab this guy now, he’s ready for his next adventure! UTD on everything. Text/call Rebecca 9176554487 for more information. Located Wallkill NY, 45 mins from HITS Hudson Valley.

It was a long weekend, with long show days, and they stepped up to the plate while I was also juggling being ringside for the committee. Reflecting on the weekend, I am honored to have such a supportive and well rounded group of riders, friends, parents, partners. We cannot be as successful as we are, without you. Congratulations to the finals committee for spear heading a new endeavor, while there were some bumps in the road, it ultimately was a great success!

Congratulations to all of our horses and riders who spent the week with us at HITS. This was the largest group of horses to date to show, which was very exciting! We had several horses that it was their first time, so we spent the week learning and troubleshooting, and also having some really great moments. We had horses and riders who moved up to a higher division, something we had been working towards, and hard work does pay off. We had new riders join the fox hollow family show team, and it was a wonderful addition.

As always and most importantly, a huge thank you for all those who support this little team. From friends who printed out a logo for our golf cart, to parents who came and supported not only their children but the whole barn, to my husband who had the role of chef, dog parent, chauffeur, and wore so many hats. Thank you to the clients that don’t shy away from the extra work in the barn when I’m up at the ring, and graciously feed delicious meals. Thank you to Stephanie who braided all of our horses on top of showing herself. And of course, even when things don’t go the way we envision and especially when it goes better than you could have imagined, thank you to all the special wonderful horses we were so lucky to bring to the show.

Our amazing friend Leslie passed away. She was always upfront with her terminal cancer diagnosis, which she fought an incredible miraculous fight, living long beyond the odds she was given.
I don’t really know how to put into words how special Leslie was but, she was a beacon of light, kindness, perseverance, and joy.

It takes a special horse to trust enough to take care of a person that wasn’t always 100%. I cannot thank Stephanie enough for sharing Tonka. Tonka and Leslie shared a bond that was really incredible to witness. It seemed to me that they knew they had to take care of each other.
Tonka happily went wherever and did whatever Leslie told him to do and in return she brought him organic apples that she would pre-slice for him.

Tonka didn’t care when Leslie stopped riding in English tack, and moved to Western for more stability. He didn’t care when it was just a brushing and hand walking day. And he didn’t care when Leslie wanted to practice harder maneuvers like pivots and cones when we moved to walk only lessons. You could tell Tonka was so proud of the work they did together. She loved him, and he felt like the most important horse in the world, even though at 27 years old he was moving towards retirement himself.

I’m going to miss Leslie saying “hey honey” every time she walked in the barn, or how she would tell me she stopped 3 times in the road this week to say hi to Tonka in his paddock. How she would introduce him as “her horse”… because let’s face it he was. Or how she would bring stuffed animals for Tonka’s stall because she felt he was lonely after his friend Billy passed away.

Tonka and Leslie were best friends and soul mates, maybe they knew each other in a previous life, and I hope they will be together in another one. Tonka made Leslie laugh, and was there for her when she had to cry. I can’t believe I got to be a part of their friendship and story, it has truly been an honor.

Rest easy Leslie, there are so many amazing horses up in heaven 💛🐴
