Today we came out to raise awareness for rare diseases and in support of our co-worker, Coca Bernard. Coca was diagnosed with leukemia in 2021 and 2 years later was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called Atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome or AHUS.

When Make A Wish contacted Coca, he decided that he wanted to give back and raise funds and awareness for rare genetic diseases. With that, the Hope With Every Step 5K/10K was created! The race was a huge success and raised over $20,000!

We are so proud of you, Coca and were so happy to be a part of this amazing day!
