Great job today, Ruby! We worked on door boundaries, loose leash walking, and drop it. Touch and catch helped build her confidence and we used that to help make her more comfortable around Dad. She is slowly getting more comfortable and Dad.

Great job today, cookie! We worked on long leash recall, coming back inside quickly, calmness when the doorbell runs, and going to her place when guests arrive. Well done!

Benny had another awesome lesson today! His loose leash walking is excellent and he did very well today around other dogs! Also teaching Mom how to better be his advocate and changing his emotional response to his triggers!

Lola and Bella graduated from their first round today! Great progress so far!! Keep up the good work!

Magee graduated from her first round today! Huge improvement so far! She walks nicely on the leash, has more impulse control with counter surfing and jumping, and overall a happy, well mannered dog!

Great job today, Muffin! Working on changing her emotional response towards dogs, using 2 calm dogs and enough space. Also helping Mom better be her advocate and be proactive while walking her on leash. Also working on her loose leash walking! Well done!

👉 Any behaviour takes time.

✅ Training a puppy is much easier than going through a systematic behaviour modification later on in life, but still, BOTH take time.

💢Time, patience, consistency, commitment and repetition.

➡️ If you attend puppy classes, but don’t spend much time training beyond that - is it really a surprise your dog is picking up some “unwanted” behaviours later in life ?

🙌If you train recall, but only to a point when your dog can recall in one environment and without any distractions - is that recall going to be 100% reliable at all times ?

🐶 If you don’t teach your puppy the value of engagement with you and walking by your side (𝙣𝙤𝙩 to be confused with walking to heel here !!), then should you really complain when your dog pulls like a train at 12 months old??

✳️ You got a dog. Great.
Now enable them to become their best selves.

Koda had an awesome lesson today! We worked on his leash reactivity and focusing on Mom! Amazing job today! Any time you train a reactive or over excited dog, it shouldn’t look like they are a reactive dog…meaning they should always stay under threshold. Well done!
