🎃 Halloween pet safety, from our family to yours:

🍫 Chocolate is toxic to dogs and cats, especially dark chocolate.
🍬 Candy and sugar-free gum may contain xylitol, which is very dangerous for pets.
🕯️ Keep candles, glow sticks, and decorations out of reach. Chewing them can cause problems.
👗 Make sure costumes don't restrict movement, vision, or breathing. If your pet is stressed, skip the costume.
🚪 Pets can bolt when the doorbell rings all night. Keep them in a quiet room, and make sure they have ID or a microchip.

If your pet gets into the candy bowl, call us at 269-649-1100 or an emergency vet right away. Don't wait for symptoms.
