Dr. Christina Bowles, a graduate from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine, joined the practice in 2005. Later purchasing the practice from its previous owner, Dr. Heidi Stucki in July 2012. Dr. Bowles has spent the past 7 years making the practice her own by providing excellent routine/emergency care to dogs and cat of all sizes! As well as performing many surgical procedures for our f

urry friends. Our support staff includes:
-Dr. Tracy, Preventative Care Specialist
-Dr. Carol Neal, Preventative Care Specialist
-Emily French, Office Manager
& our amazing Veterinary Assistants; Christy, Jessie, Kaylee, Sally, Rachel, Cassie, Sarah, Andrea, Simone, Cynthia, and Alecia. You may also see our office cats Naughty Nigel, Crush, and Scratch roaming the clinic.

Shaver Road Animal Hospital is kicking off our seasonal pet photo contests, and we’re starting with a star-spangled celebration! ❤️🤍💙

Show us your pets dressed in their best 4th of July outfits, patriotic bandanas, backyard BBQ poses, or festive fireworks spirit (minus the scary noises, of course 😉).

🐾 Looking for Loving Homes 🐾

We are helping spread the word for two sweet indoor cats who are looking for wonderful homes. They are fixed, front declawed, friendly, and have been raised around people and dogs.

There is nothing wrong with them, their current family simply has too many and would love to see them get the extra love and attention they deserve.

🐾 Community Outreach at LakeHouse Kalamazoo 🐾

Shaver Road Animal Hospital had the wonderful opportunity to visit LakeHouse Kalamazoo with a very special group of furry friends. 💜

Our goal was simple: to bring smiles, comfort, and a small piece of home back into the lives of these wonderful residents. As we talked with everyone, one thing became clear, so many of them had pets growing up. The memories they shared were full of love, laughter, and companionship.
Not to mention, the residents were so excited for our visit that they even baked pet-safe dog treats for all of the dogs! It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the day feel even more special. 🐶🍪

There is something truly powerful about the way animals can brighten a room, spark conversation, and bring people together. We are so grateful to LakeHouse Kalamazoo for welcoming us and allowing us to share a little joy, a few tail wags, some sweet kitty snuggles, and lots of love.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this visit so meaningful. We loved every minute of it! 🐾💕
