Dr. Christina Bowles, a graduate from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine, joined the practice in 2005. Later purchasing the practice from its previous owner, Dr. Heidi Stucki in July 2012. Dr. Bowles has spent the past 7 years making the practice her own by providing excellent routine/emergency care to dogs and cat of all sizes! As well as performing many surgical procedures for our f

urry friends. Our support staff includes:
-Dr. Rachel Haas, Preventative Care Specialist
-Dr. Carol Neal, Preventative Care Specialist
-Emily French, Office Manager
& our amazing Veterinary Assistants; Christy, Jessie, Kaylee, Sally, Rachel, Cassie, Sarah, Andrea, Simone, and Cynthia. You may also see our office cats Naughty Nigel, Crush, and Scratch roaming the clinic.

🌟 Employee of the Month: Jessie! 🌟
We’re thrilled to recognize Jessie as August’s Employee of the Month! 🩵
As our doggy daycare lead, she makes sure every pup has a safe and fun experience, all the while, taking pictures and posting Facebook lives for their owners to see. She has taken on organizing Community Events, like the one this past week with some amazing foster kids, and she's the one who keeps things fun by hiding a "Longdog" around the hospital for everyone to find. 🐾 If you aren't sure what a longdog is, you haven't seen the children's show, Bluey! 🤣

Jessie is the ultimate right-hand girl, she is always ready to help without being asked and her spark of curiosity inspires us all, whether it’s diving into a wound debridement or excitedly checking out parasites under the microscope (yep, she really does love that!). 🦠🔬

Thank you, Jessie, for your creativity, kindness, and dedication. We’re so lucky to have you on our team! 💐

✨💛🐾 Sometimes the best kind of therapy has four paws and a wagging tail. ✨💛🐾

This week, our Shaver Road Animal Hospital team had the joy of joining Family & Children Services (fcsource.org) for an unforgettable day of Puppy Therapy with foster children and their families.

It was incredible to watch the children’s faces light up as they got to snuggle, pet, and play with all the fur babies. 🐶✨ The wagging tails, belly rubs, and happy giggles reminded us why the human-animal bond is so magical.
There were plenty of treats to go around for our amazing crew of dogs, ranging from our own staff pets to AKC Canine Good Citizens and Certified Therapy dogs. The children got to see how well a dog's nose works by hiding treats in a sensory pool and watching them find them.

It’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do. ❤️
Thank you Family & Children Services for hosting such a wonderful event, we were so honored to be apart of it!

Our Story

Our animal hospital offers very personalized and superior care to your dogs and cats. We all know that our furry friends are more than pets, they are part of the family! Dr. Christina Bowles (Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine Class of 2001) joined the practice in 2005. In July 2012, Dr. Bowles purchased the practice from its previous owner, Dr. Heidi Stucki. We are currently in search of the perfect second veterinarian to complete our Shaver Road family! Our support staff includes our Licensed Veterinary Technicians, Jessica Kamm and Audrea Bailey; Office/Finance Manager Emily French; Staff/Client Relations Manager Sally Browne; and our excellent Veterinary Assistants: Simone Heller, Christy Hite, Rachel Smith, Jessie Luke, Kaylee Flickinger, and Kyla Glascock.

Our clinic offers an array of services, including in house blood work, radiology, surgery, emergency, well pet visits/vaccinations, doggy daycare, and boarding. Call us anytime, to receive a quote on any of our services listed above.
