We’re excited to host Allison Whisler for a How to Show Your Horse At Liberty Clinic!

Allison Whisler is an ILHA competitor and judge. She has competed in ILHA invitational freestyles at Liberty Festival, Equine Affaire, Michigan Horse Expo and the Midwest Horse Fair, where she won the pro division. She is one of the ILHA’s most experienced judges and enjoys judging and teaching people not only liberty, but the ins and outs of how to show successfully at ILHA shows.

This clinic will take place the day before our KY ILHA Fall Show. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn how you can show better.

We had a terrific time at our obstacle day Saturday!

We did obstacles at Liberty, ridden and on lead line.
…Also an egg and spoon & Liberty horse race may have happened 😆

Who’s competing this year?! 🎉

The countdown is on! Entries for the 2025 ILHA Championship Show at the Liberty Festival open this Friday, July 4th, and will close on Sunday, July 13th.

Along with class entries, nominations for the Invitational Freestyle and Championship Freestyle classes will also open on July 4th!

❓ What’s the difference?
Both are judged Freestyle classes, but spots are limited. Only 10 competitors will be selected for each class by our selection committee.

✅ Yes—you can nominate for both!
If you aren’t selected for the Invitational Freestyle, you’ll automatically be considered for the Championship Freestyle.

📋 How to nominate:
You’ll need to submit:

-A short form describing your Freestyle performance
-A video of you completing the Liberty Horse Novice pattern
-Any additional video footage from past Liberty acts, performances, or competitions
This is your opportunity to showcase your creativity, connection, and talent in front of a live audience at the Alltech Arena.

✨Want to teach your horse to race to the mark at Liberty?✨

This is a great opportunity to learn this incredible training tool that leads to so many amazing maneuvers!

Many professionals consider it a staple in their Liberty training.

We will walk through each step of creating a horse that knows its job when the mark is out.

This clinic will be taught by our Club Manager, Amy Dean. Amy is a trainer and liberty enthusiast who is excited to share her knowledge and love of Mark Training with you.

$230 for KLHC members

What a weekend!! 🤩

It started off on Thursday with some of our club giving a demo at the Mustang Heritage Foundation🎉

Then we had 6 members head up IN for Midwest Mix! (More on that later😍)

I couldn’t have asked for this demo to go better. Thank you to Danielle for giving us this opportunity. We are so grateful!

Ever wonder why a judge gave you a certain score on a maneuver? Here’s your chance to get feedback so you can be more confident in the show arena! 💪🏼

Welcome to Liberty Review Liberty!
How it works:

✨ You will pick an ILHA pattern you want coaching on from our club member and ILHA carded judge, Barbara Bern, and our KY club manager, Amy Parsley.

✨ Each time slot is 20 minutes long, this time will be spent with 5 min initially doing chosen pattern, 5 min for review/coaching, 5 min for doing same chosen pattern again this time making corrections, and then 5 min for review.

✨ You can choose ANY ILHA liberty pattern to receive coaching on with Liberty Review Liberty, but please note that not all ILHA classes will be availble on Sunday for showing.

✨ You can sign up for as many as you’d like and if all these time slots get taken, we will create more.
Payment for each session will be due the day April 12th when you check in. If you sign up for mutiple sessions, and then choose not to do them all, you will still be charged for unused session/s.

✨ Saturday April 12th is Liberty Review Liberty.
✨ Sunday April 13th is the Spring KLHC Liberty Show.

✨ You do not have to partipate in both, but this event is designed to help you show better on Sunday by recieving coaching on Saturday.
Auditing Liberty Review Liberty is $15 a person for the whole day.
