The Liberty herd has grown by one 🥹

Welcome home to MURPHY! Thanks to the incredible generosity of several members of the LEC family, we were able to quickly raise the funds to rescue Murphy from a kill pen yesterday ❤️ He arrived to his new home this morning! We think he will be an amazing addition to the lesson herd. Murphy is about ten years old, is a Quarter Horse gelding, and comes from Kansas where he did a lot of cow work. Welcome home buddy!!

Since he came from a kill pen and has been with lots of horses from lots of places, Murphy is on a STRICT 30-day quarantine. Do NOT touch him and do NOT let other horses touch him or even get near him. We want to make sure we keep all horses on the property safe ❤️

Again we want to extend a humongous thank you to everyone who donated to Murphy’s sale price. We’re so honored that you trust us and love the horses as much as we do. We want to be a soft landing for as many horses as possible. Thank you thank you thank you!! ❤️❤️❤️

📢 Instructor wanted!

Liberty Equestrian Center in Verona, Wisconsin is looking for a riding instructor for beginner and intermediate riders starting in August. An earlier start is also possible and there are plenty of opportunities for morning or afternoon chores as well. If you enjoy teaching kids and adults about all things horses then this is for you! We're looking for applicants with experience in safe horse handling, who are dependable, hard-working, and have a passion for the industry. LEC is a busy lesson barn offering private lessons, group lessons for more advanced riders, and seasonal clinics for beginners. Our indoor arena is insulated and can be heated during the winter, and we have a large outdoor arena as well. We pay $15 per lesson hour and have rough board availability for one or two horses. It may not be Halloween yet, but it's still time to look forward to the snowy season and ❄️winter Horsemanship!❄️

Our Horsemanship program introduces new and new-again riders of all ages to the basics of horse riding and care. Over a ten-week session, beginners learn how to groom, tack up, do basic groundwork maneuvers, safety essentials, and walk, trot, and sometimes even canter. Horsemanship is the perfect class for beginner riders!

We’re super excited to welcome a new member of our lesson herd: Otis aka Gettin Chocolate!

Otis comes to us as a free lease. He is soooo sweet and chill and is already friends with Khlay, Gizmo, and Jazz. We’ve started to introduce him to lessons and he’s passed with flying colors! 🤩 We can already tell he’s going to be the new favorite. ❤️ Welcome Otis!!
