Lois Lawrence, a founding member of Angel's Wish, once rescued a kitten from a construction site. Weak with starvation, dehydration, and a severe upper respiratory infection, neither veterinary treatment nor Lois’ love and care could save the kitten from the effects of that hot June day. We believe that Angel's Wish would have been that no other animal be subjected to pain, suffering, abandonment or neglect.

This tiny cutie isn’t ready for canned food just yet… but she will be soon! And with so many hungry mouths to feed, we need your help filling our shelves.

Our usual, very genrous source of donated adult canned food is on pause due to manufacturing issues, and our pantry is running low.

🐾✨ Two for Tuesday: Double the Love, Double the Purrs, and no adoption fee✨🐾

Meet Caterpillar & Firefly — two inseparable kittens who are as sweet as they are snuggly. 💕 Caterpillar (a handsome brown tabby with maybe a touch of Maine C**n fluff!) loves staying close to his people, shifting and nuzzling to show just how much he cares. His best buddy Firefly is a little beam of joy who greets everyone with nonstop purrs and playful energy. Together, they’ll keep you surrounded with cuddles, playtime, and love.

These two are bonded and must be adopted together — which just means double the snuggles for you. 😻

Caterpillar & Firefly have tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus), but don’t let that scare you away. FeLV can shorten lifespans, especially for kittens, but they deserve a loving forever home for however much time they have. They can’t pass FeLV to people, dogs, or other pets — just other cats.

As Angel’s Wish Forget-Me-Nots, their adoption fee is waived. 💙

🚨 SOS! We need BLANKETS again! 🚨

Since January, nearly 600 cats and kittens have found homes through Angel’s Wish (amazing, right?! 😻). But that also means we’ve almost run out of the handmade blankets we love sending home with each kitty and their new family.

If you’ve got yarn and a little time, we’d love your help creating something cozy for our cats! 🧶💜

👉 Blanket details:

Acrylic yarn (machine-washable = best!)

Knitted or crocheted

About the size of a medium cat carrier (our largest is 24"L x 17"W, but all sizes welcome!)

Any pattern or color — have fun with it!

📍 Drop-off: In the deck box at the back door of the Angel’s Wish Verona Center OR bring during adoption events there or at PetSmart East.

🐾Rise and Shine for a BIG Vet Day for our animals 🐾

Our amazing volunteer foster families are up bright and early today, bringing cats to three vet clinics for a huge day of care:
✨ 29 spay/neuter surgeries
✨ 4 vaccine appointments
✨ 4 admissions into Dane County Humane Society's Felines In Treatment Center
✨ 1 dental

Almost all of these patients are kittens who have been growing big and strong in foster care — and now they’re getting one step closer to finding their new homes.

💛 Huge thanks to our dedicated foster homes and our incredible veterinary partners at Dane County Humane Society, Precision Veterinary, and Verona Veterinary Medical Service, S.C. for helping our kitties get ready for adoption!

💜 It’s Forget-Me-Not Friday — and we’ve got some new faces to introduce! 🐾

Some of our long-time cats have recently found loving homes (yay!), which means a few new cats and kittens are now wearing the Forget-Me-Not badge. 😻 These sweethearts have been with us longer than usual — sometimes because they’re shy, a little sassy, or living with FIV. Other times… we truly don’t know why they’ve been overlooked!

Sometimes the first home isn’t the right one — and that’s okay. 💛

These sweet cats have all been returned to us for different reasons. Some didn’t get along with the other pets in the home. Some were too shy or too playful. One even came back because their person’s anxiety made it too hard to care for a pet.

Whatever the reason, they’re still just as deserving of love — and a second chance.

🐾 Frank & Arthur: A goofy pair who need a calm home that understands shy cats (with a bit of zoomie energy!)
🐾 Eric: A mellow guy who was rejected by the resident cat, but is fine with cats, dogs, and people
🐾 Rain: A sweet tabby girl who would thrive as a solo cat (although is living with other cats now ok)
🐾 Josh: Returned due to his person’s anxiety
🐾 Parker: A quirky boy who needs a cat-savvy home without other cats

If you believe in second chances, come meet them. You just might be their perfect match. 💕

Like her namesake from The Great Gatsby, Daisy may look fragile—but she’s full of grit and charm. This precious brown and white tabby kitten has big hazel eyes, pink-and-black toe beans, and a heart of gold. An illness as a baby left her wobbly, but Daisy doesn’t let that slow her down one bit—she climbs, scampers, and even hops adorably from place to place!

She’s a fierce warrior with a wand toy, loves wrestling with her kitten buddy, and melts into your arms when it’s cuddle time—purring all the way. 🐾

Daisy has cerebellar ataxia, a neurological condition that affects her balance. She’ll need a home with rugs or carpet and minimal stairs—but if you're ready to meet an amazing kitten with a sunny personality and unstoppable spirit, she might just be your perfect match.
