Lois Lawrence, a founding member of Angel's Wish, once rescued a kitten from a construction site. Weak with starvation, dehydration, and a severe upper respiratory infection, neither veterinary treatment nor Lois’ love and care could save the kitten from the effects of that hot June day. We believe that Angel's Wish would have been that no other animal be subjected to pain, suffering, abandonment or neglect.

Angel’s Wish is proud to offer $20 microchips to help keep your pets safe! 💉💙

One in three pets will become lost at some point, and sadly, 90% never make it home without proper identification. A microchip is the most reliable way to protect your pet—providing a permanent, unique ID that can’t fall off like a collar tag.

Implanting a microchip is quick and simple, much like giving a routine vaccination. We use the innovative 24Petwatch MiniChip, which is about one-third the size of a standard chip and implanted with a smaller needle. It’s more comfortable for pets and is especially helpful for kittens. For just $20, we will implant the microchip, register your contact information with 24PetWatch, and provide a collar tag with your pet’s microchip number and a toll-free number to call if they are ever lost

We’re doubling the love on this Friday, spotlighting our sweet Oakley and his bonded bestie, Harry. 🐾

While Oakley arrived at Angel’s Wish with all the curiosity and mischievous charm you’d expect from an orange kitten, we quickly discovered he was a little different—he was born without the lower portions of his back legs. But Oakley doesn’t let that slow him down for a second. With a few simple accommodations, like using clay litter instead of clumping, he zips around his foster home, plays with total joy, and keeps up easily with his very best buddy, Harry.

At around six months old, these two have formed a remarkable bond. Whether they’re soaking up snuggles from their favorite humans, tumbling around in a blur of toys and kitten energy, or curling up together in a perfect orange-and-gray cuddle pile, they’ve shown just how powerful feline friendship can be.

Oakley and Harry are currently at PetSmart East, a wonderful place to meet them and see their sweet personalities shine. Stop in on Sundays from noon to 3 p.m. to say hello—you might just fall in love with this playful duo.

If you’re searching for a playful companion with a big heart, Maisie might just be your girl. 💖

Meet Maisie, a two-year-old tabby who recently lost the only home she’s ever known. Maisie is the perfect blend of fun and affection—full of energy when the toys come out, and a total couch potato once she’s gotten her zoomies out. She adores chasing, pouncing, and batting at anything that moves, and she’s even more delighted when another cat joins in. She’d thrive in a home with other friendly cats to play with, nap beside, and quietly trail from room to room with.

She’s sweet, a little silly, happily independent, and always ready to “chat” if you talk to her. Just make sure to look down before you step—she might be hanging out at your feet!

We’re reaching toward a milestone we’ve never hit before: 1,000 cats adopted in a single year. So far this year, 927 cats have found their forever homes. Isidore and Anna did the math for us—only 73 more kitties need their perfect match to make it happen. 🐱❤️

That’s 927 lives transformed, 927 soft beds to curl up in, 927 little faces looking up at their favorite humans with trust and love. Every adoption is a story of hope, and together, we’ve written nearly a thousand of them. There are only a few weeks left in 2025, and thanks to our incredible community, we’re on track for our biggest year yet—but we can’t cross the finish line without you.

If adoption has been on your heart, there’s no better moment than now. We'll have nearly 125 cats up for adoption this weekend, each with their own quirks, charms, and hopes for the family that’s meant for them. Stop in, meet these angels, and see if one chooses you.

Earlier this , we introduced you to the love story of Pony Boy and Patrick. Let us share a bit more of Patrick's story.

Patrick was one of 25 cats Angel’s Wish welcomed from a large-scale rescue in northern Wisconsin — part of a situation where nearly 100 cats were living in a home. The owner loved her animals deeply, but the sheer number of cats had created stressful and overwhelming conditions, and she was facing a terminal illness.

Thanks to many groups working together, these cats finally got the help they urgently needed.

This is the type of relaxation that comes with a forever home! ❤️

Babka, originally known as Double-Stuffed Oreo, now lives a luxurious life in a house with low windows overlooking bushes. He works hard for it, as a full-time bird feeder observer while sitting on his crocheted blanket from Angel’s Wish.

When met with the love of a forever home, our cats have the chance to fully blossom their personalities. For Babka, this has meant a passion for chicken Tiki Cat food, sitting next to (but not always on!) his humans, and firm pets paired with shoulder massages. He’s settled in well to the good life, sticking to his strict bedtime routine of climbing onto a living room chair at 10 p.m. and learning tricks from his 13-year-old human in between zoomies attacks.

Happy , a chance to shine a light on our longest residents. 🖤🤍

Meet Kiss, a pint-sized rock goddess with face markings straight out of an arena tour and the personality to match. At seven months old, this beauty is always on the move, chasing toys, scaling new heights, and narrating every moment with her raspy voice—like she just wrapped a sold-out show as lead singer of her own band.

Kiss has opinions, and she’s not afraid to share them. Whether someone’s playing too roughly, stealing her snacks, or stepping into her personal bubble, she’ll let you know. She needs her people close, center-stage, and will immediately call you back if you wander too far from her spotlight.

This little superstar also needs a feline friend who can match her energy and vibe. If you’re ready for a kitten with full rockstar charisma, a hilarious attitude, and a sweet streak under all that swagger, Kiss is ready to take the stage—and your heart.

Happy Thanksgiving from Angel’s Wish! 🧡 🦃

Today, we’re feeling extra grateful for the incredible community that surrounds us. Thank you to our donors, volunteers, adopters, foster families, shelter partners, and everyone who supports our mission.

Because of you, cats and kittens get second chances, full bellies, warm beds, and loving homes. We’re so thankful to be part of a community that shows up—again and again—for animals who need us.

One of our adoptable cats, Jaxon, wishes you a peaceful, joyful holiday. Don’t mind the face—he just spotted some catnip stuffing!
