The Ribbon Wand

The Ribbon Wand consists of ribbons attached to the end of a traditional horse training whip instead of the traditional rope lash. The Ribbon Wand is an improvement on the traditional rope lash whip because:


  • It has a softer feel to the horse, and it is easier for beginners to use softly, with a sensitive touch, without starling or accidentally slapping the horse.

  • The horse can see the ribbons much more easily than a rope lash, helping the horse to relax, understand, and respond as intended to the training cues.

  • It is much less likely to accidentally injure the horse’s eye or other sensitive parts, because the ribbons are softer than a rope lash.
