The PROPERLY BRED Belgian Malinois is the best dog in the world, and yes I may be biased, they are my personal breed of choice. Most loving, devoted, determined, intelligent and powerful dogs living life with a purpose. They should be bred with a purpose too. People who want to have them in their lives must be committed to doing the work, having a purpose too, have dedication and discipline to commit to these wonderful warriors for a lifetime!
If you are not in military or law enforcement, you better be a trainer who works his or her dogs daily for the first 8-10 years of their lives. Consider opening your heart to a rescue, unfortunately there are lots of talented good Malinois who end up in shelters for really being good Malinois…Along with poorly bred and tempered ones bred by the backsard breeders…
If you are determined to raise your own puppy, this is where your commitment should begin - commit to doing your homework and your research about who the reputable Belgian Malinois breeders are in this country. I promise, they are not on craiglist or the internet, they are not advertising their pups for sale based on color… They diligently work their dogs, have achievements to prove it, and dedicate their personal lives to creating the ultimate working dog, not to look cool on TikTok, but to produce a strong powerful stable working dog. Their puppy contracts go beyond a “48-72 health guarantee and current vaccinations”, beyond “AKC papers”, when you research you will see! They stand behjnd each puppy they bring Into this world and carefully select their puppy people, they welcome their “puppies” back years later, when things do not work out….
They have respect in the working Malinois community. Do your research, show the diligence and the commitment and you will get the best dog of your lifetime!
And remember … by buying from the backyard breeders you are contributing to these amazing dogs getting abused or euthanized
