In IGP, a good spotter is doing much more than watching from the sidelines. They’re watching the dog’s emotions, the handler’s movements, the technical details, the rules, and the point system, all while giving feedback that helps the handler focus on showing the dog the true picture of the trial.

A great spotter understands the handler’s goals, sees the same ideal picture, and knows when to step in with feedback, and when to stay inconspicuous for the dog.

Because the best teams aren’t built by one person.
They’re built by a community. 🐾

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to dog training. 🐾

Every dog learns differently, and the right program depends on where they are in their training journey and what they need to work on.

🐕 Group Classes: Perfect for proofing skills around distractions and teaching your dog to stay focused on you with other dogs and real-life distractions nearby. Reactive dogs can also benefit once they’re ready for a group setting.

🏡 Day Camp: Your dog gets professional training during the day and goes home each night. With weekly lessons and homework, you’re involved in the process and learn how to keep the training going at home. Best suited for social, confident dogs and puppies.

🏕️ Boarding Camp: Our most immersive option, where we take on the heavy lifting and give your dog consistent training throughout their stay. It’s recommended for all dogs and is especially valuable for behavioral modification, including anxiety, aggression, and reactivity.

No matter their breed, size, age, or starting point, we’ll help find the program that makes the most sense for your dog. 🐶

My personal preference has always been a naturally social dog who I teach to stay neutral. That fits best with my handling, my personality, and my everyday life.

I also want my dogs, from a young age, to see different kinds of people and learn to stay neutral and know that humans of all ages, shapes and sizes are not a threat.

If a dog gets tense, avoids people, or reacts in public, they're not a bad dog. They're a dog that lacks trust, a dog that feels like they need to protect themselves.

Some people think others ""get lucky"" with dogs, and while that may be true in some cases, most dogs take extra effort to help them build that trust.

"Koda is mastering the art of stay 😇 (wait for the end, he is the BEST boy)

I couldn’t imagine raising a future service dog without teaching a clear foundation for self control and a reliable stay.

A puppy’s ability to wait in different situations develops day by day, as long as it’s practiced consistently.

Koda, 5 months old, has already learned to wait short time in a down position.

In this exercise, we test his stay with a real life distraction- a doorbell and when we released him from the down position you can see how happy he was to make us proud and earn his reward.

Training needs to be clearly defined, timely rewarded and balanced with patience 😎

She-Ra being goofy inspired me to share this thought: Every dog that comes through our doors has a personality all their own.

Some are goofy (ahem, She-Ra). Some are timid. Some are focused and ready to go at all times. Some are relaxed. Some are somewhere in between.

We love them for who they are, and we train them that way too.
