I learned to break out and train horses under the supervision of Mike Simmons at M&L Ranch in Wisconsin for about 5 years. My mother supported my dreams and I showed at the Open Show and State 4-H levels for 10 years with a horse that has more heart than natural talent. I fell in love with
Showmanship, Horsemanship, Equitation, and Trail. Once I was riding under M&L Ranch I learned to enjoy western pleasure and Hunter Under Saddle. My goals for myself and my up and coming horses are to show at the AQHA level for Showmanship, Equitation, Ranch, and Reining. My main goal here as trainer is to help rider and horse accomplish their goals and then some. The best feeling is watching a team you help create succeed in the world. I would consider my training to be more pressure and release, but also use positive reinforcement. I am constantly learning new ways to better assist and train each horse. No two horses and two riders are the same! The most important word is Whoa, if we don't have a whoa then we go back to the basics.
