Some goats choose snacks. Some choose chaos.

Ross chose Lisa - well also snacks and chaos 😅

Lisa is one of our yoga instructors, and whenever she rolled out her mat, Ross somehow knew exactly where he belonged. Right beside her. On her mat. In her way. Fully prepared to “help” teach the class whether she had requested an assistant or not. 😆

He followed her through poses, stood beside her during instruction and made sure she never had to demonstrate anything without very close supervision.

There was such a sweet little bond between them. Ross always found his way to her, and she always made room for him.

These photos make me smile and ache a little at the same time. We miss our Ross every day, but I’ll always be grateful for the people who loved him so well while he was here.

And he really, really loved his Lisa. 🤍

Well…that was a night. 😳 Tornado warnings, nonstop thunderstorms and flooding made for some pretty scary hours, but thankfully Sunday morning has arrived much calmer. 😮‍💨

Fun fact: that fresh, earthy smell after a rainstorm has a name: petrichor. After last night, I think we have enough petrichor to last us awhile. 😅

Bonus goat fun fact: when goats lift their noses and make that funny face, they’re often using something called the flehmen response — basically a super-sniff that helps them get an even better read on a smell. The side-eye is apparently just Monica making sure we knew she takes her weather investigations very seriously. 🐐

We closed out this somewhat soggy but still super fun day with The One with Goats & Watermelon 🍉🐐

The goats munched, the people laughed, and summer officially got one last juicy sendoff.

We’ll tuck this one away until next summer… but don’t worry, we’ve got plenty more fun headed your way this fall. 😉
