That is certainly the case for Megan Leather, Practice Manager at Banfield Herndon in Virginia!

Megan originally joined Banfield as a Veterinary Assistant while pursuing her master’s degree, thinking it would be a temporary stop along the way. But somewhere between caring for pets, supporting clients, and working alongside her team, she discovered something unexpected: veterinary medicine was where her passion truly belonged.🙌

Today, Megan continues to make an impact as a Practice Manager, and we’re thrilled to celebrate her next big milestone: being accepted to the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine! 🎉🎓

After years of hard work, dedication, and passion for veterinary medicine, Dr. Litsey has officially graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine! 🐾

As a Banfield Student Ambassador, we’ve had the privilege of watching his journey year by year during vet school, and we’re so excited for this next chapter. Following his mentorship period with Team North Richland Hills, Dr. Litsey will be joining Team Southlake, TX, where he’ll continue making a difference for pets, clients, and the community they serve. 🙌

Banfield Student Ambassador ➡️ Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

When Dr. Sarah McGibbon (soon to be Dr. Bassett) first connected with Banfield as a Student Ambassador, she quickly saw the difference a supportive team can make. The investment in teaching, mentorship, and helping students grow stood out from the start – and now, that journey is coming full circle.

After graduating from Oklahoma State, Dr. McGibbon is officially joining Team Apple Valley in Minnesota as a veterinarian! 🎉

The team has had the opportunity to connect with Sarah virtually and IRL several times over the last couple of years; she’s an incredible person and we’re so excited to continue to be a cheerleader for her as she continues her journey! 🧡
