🐾 Holiday Boarding Plans? Check Your Pet's Vaccines Before the Rush! 🎄

Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's are right around the corner! If your pets will be boarding or attending daycare during the holidays, now is the time to check their vaccination requirements.

Did you know? Boarding requirements may have changed!

Some local facilities have recently added the canine influenza (dog flu) vaccine to their requirements, and we carry it at Cheap Pricks!

Dogs receiving this vaccine for the first time generally need two doses, 2–4 weeks apart. Some facilities also require a waiting period after vaccination, so planning ahead is important!

🐱 Don't forget the cats! Feline boarding facilities may have specific rabies and FVRCP requirements, too.

Before your holiday plans:
✔️ Check your pets' vaccination records and expiration dates.
✔️ Confirm your boarding or daycare facility's current requirements.
✔️ Ask how far in advance vaccines must be completed.
✔️ Schedule necessary vaccines or boosters early!

I went here for the first time today with both of my dogs, and I honestly couldn’t have had a better experience! The staff was some of the nicest and most friendly people I’ve ever met. They were so incredibly sweet and gentle with both of my dogs, and you could tell they genuinely cared about them.I originally only had an appointment for one of my dogs, but they were able to accommodate my second dog the same day. Everything was so quick and easy, and the pricing was amazing!I can’t say enough good things about this place. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and helpful. I’m so glad I found them and will absolutely be coming back!

Leptospirosis isn’t just a concern for farm dogs or avid creek explorers. The bacteria can be carried in the urine of rodents and other wildlife, contaminating puddles, wet grass, soil, and other places dogs encounter every day—including cities and suburban backyards.

Because nearly every dog has some risk of exposure, leptospirosis vaccination is now considered a core vaccine for dogs. Lepto can cause severe kidney or liver disease, and it is zoonotic, meaning it can spread from animals to people.

The initial vaccination requires a two-dose series, followed by annual revaccination. Leptospirosis vaccination is included in our puppy packages and Basic Care Package.
