If you noticed a few extra faces around the clinic this past Monday, you weren't imagining things!
We were pleased to welcome Veterinary Technology students from Midwest Institute for a morning of shadowing and hands-on learning. Students had the opportunity to observe and assist with many aspects of daily practice, including laboratory testing, heartworm testing, vaccine preparation, patient restraint, venipuncture, and ear cytologies.
Education has always been an important part of our mission. One of our Registered Veterinary Technicians serves as a Clinical Instructor in Midwest Institute's Veterinary Technology program, helping bridge classroom learning with real-world clinical experience.
We're also proud of our longstanding relationship with the program. Our RVT, Jamie, is a Midwest Institute graduate, and our veterinary assistant, Bella, is currently enrolled in the program.
A sincere thank you to our clients for welcoming students into their appointments and allowing them to participate in your pets' care under the supervision of our medical team. Experiences like these are invaluable in preparing the next generation of veterinary technicians.
