🎃🐾 Halloween fun should be safe for everyone—including our pets!
🍫 Keep candy out of reach. Chocolate, xylitol (found in some sugar-free treats), and candy wrappers can be dangerous.
🚪 Create a quiet, cozy space away from the front door. Trick-or-treaters and doorbells can be stressful, and open doors make escape easy.
🏷️ Check that ID tags and microchip contact information are up to date.
👻 Keep costumes comfortable. Avoid anything that restricts breathing, movement, vision, or hearing. If your pet seems uncomfortable, skip the costume!
🕯️ Keep pets away from lit candles, cords, glow sticks, and decorations they might chew or swallow.
☎️ If your pet eats something potentially harmful, contact your veterinarian or an animal poison control service right away. Don’t induce vomiting unless a professional directs you to.

🍫 Happy National Chocolate Day! Enjoy your treats—but keep them away from your pets! 🐾

Chocolate is toxic to dogs and cats. Keep candy, brownies, cocoa powder, and chocolate desserts out of reach, and remind guests not to share. Dark chocolate and baking chocolate are especially dangerous.

If your pet eats chocolate, contact your veterinarian or an animal poison-control service immediately—even if your pet seems fine. Have the packaging, estimated amount eaten, and your pet’s weight ready. Do not induce vomiting unless a veterinary professional tells you to.
