Your 💲 💲 💲 will help dogs at the shelter receive medical attention when needed.

This may look suspiciously like a checkpoint, but we assure you it is not a checkpoint. It's fine. Everything is fine. Absolutely fine.

If your cat told you otherwise, that's exactly the kind of misinformation we've come to expect from cats.

No licenses to check. No coupons . No warrants.

Just vaccines, microchips, and a chance to support the Jerome Animal Shelter.

We've also reviewed Idaho law and can confirm there is still no vaccine available for chasing squirrels, barking at the mail carrier, or completely losing your mind when the vacuum comes out.

Rabies, however, is a different story.

The only thing getting arrested that day is rabies (probably).

🍩 Happy National Doughnut Day! 🍩

We asked the shelter pets what kind of doughnut they would be...

🐶 The Labradors said: Anything edible.
🐱 The cats said: Only the expensive artisan doughnuts.
🐾 The puppies chose: One of every flavor.
🐕 The huskies demanded: To speak to the manager about the lack of bacon doughnuts.

3 Dogs. One Wish. A Home.

Right now, we have 3 incredible dogs who have been waiting far longer than they should for a family of their own.

Our longest resident has been with us since March.

Since March, they've watched other dogs find homes. They've watched families come and go. They've waited through spring and now into summer, hoping each day might finally be their day.

💓The hardest part? These aren't dogs struggling to connect with people. They're social, friendly, and they all do well with other dogs. They love attention, enjoy making new friends, and are ready to be part of a family.

They haven't given up.

They still greet us with wagging tails. They still get excited for walks, treats, and belly rubs. They still believe their person is out there somewhere.

But no matter how much we care about them, a shelter is not a home.

These dogs deserve couches instead of kennel beds. Family adventures instead of daily kennel routines. A place where they are more than a kennel number—they are someone's beloved pet.

Please help us find their people. Share their photos, tell their stories, and help us show the community what amazing dogs they are.

After all this time, it's their turn. ❤️🐾

All 3 dogs are dog-friendly, social with people, and ready to go home. Let's make that happen.

🐾 **Pet of the Week: Franklin** 🐾

If you're looking for a best friend who's equal parts handsome, playful, and lovable, look no further than Franklin!

This goofy guy loves making new dog friends and is always ready for fun. Whether it's zoomies in the yard, a game of fetch, or just hanging out with his favorite people, Franklin is happiest when he's part of the action.

Franklin has been in and out of the shelter since February, and we think it's finally time for him to find the forever home he's been waiting for. He's got plenty of love to give and is ready to trade shelter life for a comfy couch and a family of his own.

His only request? A home without cats, please! Dogs are his thing, and he'd love to have canine friends to play with.

Franklin has the looks, the personality, and the charm, now all he needs is someone to give him a chance. Come meet this amazing boy and see why he's everyone's favorite sidekick!

Meet Little Cow and Skunk, two adorable kittens who are just 3 days old and urgently need a dedicated foster home.

🍼 What they need:

Bottle feeding around the clock
A safe, warm environment
An 8-week foster commitment until they're old enough for the next stage of care

❤️ What we provide:

All supplies and kitten formula
Full veterinary care
Guidance and support throughout the foster period

These tiny babies can't make it without a foster. If you're able to help or would like more information, please reach out as soon as possible.
